i'm sure legendary smokes are available in all countries, just gotta look for them and go exploring.

With legalisation, you now have to go much more rural where people are still growing it themselves for medicine, not to sell.. With legalisation there is sufficient demand for hybrids that any farmer would grow hybrids and the larger the better really.

That's weird to have such opposite reviews but I'm a bit skeptical of the whole CBD claims, I doubt the thais willingly mixed some CBD to their native lines but as I have not grown or smoked those plants I can't tell for sure.

Mixed bag, some reviews are really positive. I've pmd reddit growers and they are happy

The only place I got high as f@ck was a vendor in Bangkok 100% no BS that joint in Bangkok was 10 times stronger than 100 grms of Hang Krog or Foi tong or Mekong classic…
The only one strain I got from Prem that had potential was Red Laos and she didn’t grow it, came from a grower she buys the crop and helps sell.

If you want the seeds from Hang Karog I can send you some, I wouldn’t put 100$ on that I would rather buy anything from the late Dave Watson, or try to convince Hempy to give out or sell his Thia 78thai.

Everything else in Thailand is running on westerners, hype weed is not terrible if you wanna spend 25$ a grm.

100grms of Prem got me medicated and relaxed also falling asleep.

I’m glad I can be straight and not bias. I went to Thailand looking for the high you gentleman tell stories about, I couldn’t find it in over 6000 shops. I didn’t visit them all but I did my best and I could have lied like the hypers do, so I can later sell the naive westerners the Thai seeds… claiming that it’s the real deal.

I did see some great efforts, and some local farms that are far from the hype and still grow sativas but no Thai stick like the 70s.

Crazy bro, you are one of my friends always chasing the narrow leaf Sativa smoke and going on vacation to Thailand, I would have never thought CBD smoke would be around in that area.
It's a shame that one of the mother land of genetics is going this route for commercial/ advertising wrong shit on IG or whatever platforms they use.

I don't do the whole social media circus, this forum is one of the rare places where I post on the web so I have no idea what those influencers are talking about. I believe you're honest in your reports here but getting sleepy with sativas happened to me as well and it was some sativas from some Rastas somewhere in south america who were growing only narrow leafed plants, they were sending those buds to my neighbours, a rasta community who was taking a whole level in a building next to mine in the city where I was student.They had some landraces sent to them by many growers all over the world. Is it a proof there is some CBD in those flowers ? I'm not sure about that or maybe some low quantities like the ones appearing in the analysis shown a few pages back of the thai buds seized by british police in the 70's or 80's I don't remember. And you say yourself you found something who provided the high you were expecting so it's still grown somewhere, certainly on a much smaller scale than more modern hybrids as it is what most cannabis smokers want to consume now. As the demand drives the market as long as the demand for those old strains is not bigger it will stay difficult to find them. But it doesn't mean they are extinct, they are harder to score as there is no big market for them. The % of old heads wanting exclusively those specific old tai stick lines is pretty low compared to the masses asking for modern hybrids, it's the main reason they are harder to find, no conspiracies or willingness to have them discarded, just not enough customers.

Yeah homie some of the stuff I had was a good nap time smoke not the electric euphoria that I would expect from tropical or jungle varieties, specially in pure form.

The 1 million CBD government genetics are all over Thailand and with some of growers not smoking their gear, they have no idea what’s the difference between being medicated or being high.

100% right, I do agree some narrow leaf varieties are sleepy for example Afghan. Then that’s an indicator on hybridization.
I’ve smoked Jamaican and it has a touch of sedation but the first hour or so is pure up and bliss.

I smoked sativas hybrids in France grown by some relatives, shits good man, it ain’t CBD. They grow it outside in their back yard and plants get 10 ft tall.

Genetics are the first step to a successful grow.

By far the most euphoric and up (I was so high and felt creative, I felt I could write a book)
Has been Brainstorm haze, the only Haze hybrid I grew long time ago. Absolutely no come down holly smokes I loved how it made me feel at 7am.
I’m starting to grow some haze hybrids now.
