Great to have an Asian holiday destination like this so close.

The number of tourists asking to buy some weed might have been a huge factor in the decision to legalize the sales, it makes a lot of legit money for the country. How long have you been smoking? Because with time my tolerance went up, I could get high enough to almost die of laughter by secondary smoke the first time I felt the effects of cannabis but today even with high quality weed or hash I'll need a much higher dose to get high and that's just normal, I think. To expect to be high for 3 hours with only 3 tokes from a small joint is a bit unrealistic if you're smoking since decades. Un less you never developed any tolerance you'll never find any cannabis able to get high 3 hours with only 3 small tokes.
I see you start your post with experiences are personal and it's totally true, yet I don't think there is a cannabis good enough to get high a seasoned smoker with only 3 small tokes; if you can still get this high with this little quantity good for you but i'm sure I could not even with the best weed in the world I'd need a bit more to be really high for hours.

I am about to make a 12 hour trip to cross all of China and I will be 3 weeks or one month without smoking weed. So I will not have any tolerance left when I smoke all these 30 min modern weed again right? And it will hit me 30 min after this smoking break. It happened before and it will keep happening with these qualities
The best weed I had grown myself was like that
Until 7-8 years ago I was still comercially sourcing 3 toke weed
Paraguayan cannabis best batches was like this, do I need to show the roach smoking artifacts we used before the legalizations in South America you have never seen in Europe? It is offtopic but if it what you need to see in order to believe no problem
Legalizations clearly degraded weed, when it was illegal it was a looot better
We only smoked roaches and got very high until recently, in Thailand too. The best batches were like that
I started growing since I went to Europe in 2018 and saw what kind of garbage it is sold there today, I smoked in the 80s in Amsterdam and while Middle East and South America was a lot better at least you were smoking half big spliff and you were getting high 2 hours
I smoke since beginning of 80s
I never had tried modern weed in my life before I started growing it myself in 2018. It sucks, the difference is amazing with landrace sativas and I cant believe people never smoked decent weed and yet talk like professors
So it is obvious we have a very different approach and view about what good weed is, no wonder I got so pissed off with many breeders selling 30 min high weed as trippy

Thai Lao chickens are the best in the world
I call them happy chickens. They live free, they hang around, they were happy animals while alive. All the water chicken sucks, they are super unhappy chickens and the taste tells
If 30 min high weed is your thing, then to talk about the very decent food not degraded food thailand still has is super on topic. Because the weed is degraded big time
Ands eating happy chicken is amazing, I missed to eat it. Cant find this chicken quality in the world anymore at all unless you raise chickens yourself in an hectare of land.

Have a nice days guys. In Thailand now same like spouthamerica, if you want to smoke a decent sativa you need to grow it yourself. And without decent genetics you will not get decent weed. And some of the people posting here are holders of very decent weed, maybe when you argue with them, instead of arguing try to read carefully what they post and maybe your weed quality can imporve as well
Without these guys, I doubt I would have gotten the quality I got in my southamerican garden because whatever is commercially released I sourced is not top notch at all and this is really surprising me. It is all about hype it seems today. I care for good weed man and I will be now one month without smoking anything, I miss it already

I smoke since the end 80's early 90's I've had all the different types of cannabis available from south american sativas to thais and other from east asia, africans and all the different types of hashish, what I mean is whatever you smoke you get used to it with enough time so for me it's not possible anymore to get high for hours with only a few tokes, I don't need more than a half gram joint with good weed to get the effects I want but it's more than 3 tokes; it's not the nature of the of the smoke it's how our system get used to what we use on a daily basis. Some of my favorite strains to grow and smoke are the sativa dominant hybrids like Skunk#1 or Sour Diesel, Jack Herrer and SSH, I love Colombia Gold too and after decades of smoking those type of cannabis I need around a half gram pure weed joint to be high for around 2/3 hours. I rarely smoke some who only get me high for a short period of time when I smoke enough. Even after a few weeks break as I do sometimes my tolerance is quickly coming back, it's in my system for decades now.

Yes absolutely I agree with you Thai curry is really good, but my favourite dish is chicken with some fried rice with sweet and sour sauce with coconut milk and peanuts. Although I only have tried westernised Thai food and wish someday I can eat the real thing. Do you like Korean BBQ?

the real thing is not the same due to many trying to westernize stuff so westerners enjoy it in their own countries,
and some of the ingredients are not available, they also reduce the spiciness for western palates ,
you really need to go to the source , the air in bangkok is a mix of amazing food aromas , with a little bit of grey water thrown in from the poor drainage thrown in , lol ...

It's very disappointing to read that Laos has Western hybrids now. I was there less than a decade ago, and never offered a hybrid. The cannabis ranged from alright to outstanding, all Laos. One I got was as good as Thai stick imo, blew me away, rocket ship take off high, super euphoric.

Speaking of food I had the hottest salad ever in Laos. I was at a restaurant in Luang Prabang and this English guy at the table next to me was angrily complaining about the food being too hot; "I like hot food but this is ridiculous...." kind of comments. I said "I'll have what he had". At the time I was well used to hot food. Any out came a green mango salad, and fuck me it was insanely hot. Anyway I calmly ate it all, with a Beerlaos. Never show you're afraid.

Speaking of Luang Prabang, I got Gypsies seed of this just after my Laos holiday. I didn't grow it well, but the other day I found 5 seeds of it in my fridge (must be half the pack left). Gypsy, can you tell us anything about it? I am keen to try and grow it again.

Also has anyone grown the Laos Gold from TRSC?

Its a good reflection of the dichotomy of Thailand imo ......... super rich/Uber poor, beautiful scenery/rubbish everywhere, beautiful woman/fake beautiful woman, cool neo-hippy tourists/ greasy pink skinned sex tourists..

COVID and the loss of income from closing the borders changed that .
There is so much black market money involved in tourism . Turn off that tap and the country would collapse .
And it nearly did .
So when the borders opened some clever politician decided to create some incentives for tourists to come to Thailand rather than other SE Asian destinations .
I stayed in an appartment block where smoking wasn`t allowed in the rooms . But out on the balcony was OK . Every balcony in the complex had people puffing weed !

a contradictory place of shifting goal posts lol ...

that aroma makes me feel somewhat comfortable,
i remember being a bit daunted by the hustle and bustle of bangkok,
the first few times ,
but i feel quite at home there thesedays now i know how it all works,
helps avoid any potential scams too if they sense u are aware of how stuff happens,
its almost fun that part lol .
some japanese , thai style ,
theres another place i like which is japanese thai fusion type of stuff , on the tip of my tongue hahaha
sunrise at koh samui is hard to beat too

The Japanese love Thailand as a holiday destination. A few cats I know here have been for the canna-tourism recently..... they also love the Thai ladies lol

I have to admit Bangkok was hectic af for me. There was just so much going on all senses were in overload. I didn’t need drugs to feel a buzz there just an electric place full of life and death simultaneously.

For the first time in my life I saw a stranger die in front of me in Thailand.

He got hit by a truck on his scooter and I watched the truck reverse back off him.

Big pool of blood a crowd around him doing nothing. I asked the taxi driver to let me out to try help and he said no it’s not your problem and it will only cause trouble ..... then he drove around the truck and the poor fella Surrounded by onlookers and we left on our way.
Really made me realize the value of life is totally different in other places.
