anyone else here goin to see slightly stoopid 
when they come through TX? I know they're playin in austin nov. 1st and houston the next day as well. I went to their show the last time they were in h-town and it was sick, brought in 12 .5g doobies via cig pack and had an awesome time 
. music was great and crowd was havin a good time, as expected 
the atmosphere was pretty laid back towards tokin at the show which was a relief knowin how strict our state is, at first I was worried about smokin in the club but the security was really laid back and friendly. i think its always better to be safe than sorry in texas though, everything is bigger including our penalties for using herb, be careful and look over your shoulder when youre smokin at concerts, no matter how relaxed they seem, ya never know when an asshole cop will want to make an example out of you!

Hey Lonestar, I didn't. However, more than a few years ago I came to Austin a couple times and had a lot of fun. Walked and did the whole 6th Street thing. Fun to look at all the people. Saw Snoop Dogg perform live at Stubb's BBQ - that shit was fun. Also saw De La Soul @ Stubb's - It was quite an experience to hear classic hip-hop live. People were blazing at both concerts- including me - which I won't do again when I visit next time. I'll keep it private and get biggitybaked beforehand. Now, I know Austin is very liberal concerning bud - but there are asshole cops everywhere in this country and I realize I was just lucky not to have gotten got at any of those events. I wish all I had to do was look over my shoulder to spot an officer in disguise, LoneStar. Until then... Lets all toke a bowl with honey oil on top before the show, and be even higher than the guys who are risking their freedom via blazin' a li'l bit at the venue itself. Lets face it though, some state laws are even worse than Texas'. I guess we don't have it all that bad. It's still a war though either way you look at it. It's got to stop! Austin would be a great starting point for Texas to de-criminalize or legalize the herb. Everyone ready for the cold?

i lived in the austin area for a long time, it obviously attributed for my taste of the best of the best! i think austin, dfw, and h-town are the places for the dank. but like anywhere else, its all abt who you know. i got my inspiration out of the liberal austin weed scene tho, and now that i live out west, ive got my own goin.
i had to go back for the slightly show!! it was badass, stubbs bbq is a great outdoor venue. we were blazin right up in the front, no probs with the security (hired company, no popos in there). i think as long as you dont make an example of yourself by acting a fool, smoking at stubbs is chill. ive smoked at plenty of shows there (sts9, lamb of god, NIN, slightly, etc...), and ive never been hasseled, i leave that to the drunks. tons of great shows there!! as you can see i like all kinds of tunes.
slightly put on a great set, played for a little over an hour and a half and covered a decent amount of the new record with plenty of the old goodies. i love chronchitis, esp "mind on your music". fishbone opened up for them and rocked the house as well. we burned up some NL and some strawberry cough (both out of dfw) and had a blast!
*btw: im ready for the cold (its already somewhat here)

I must agree with you growing up in south austin was the shit, the park rangers made you dump out quarters and smaller on the ground and grind them. We smoked as much weed as we smoked cigs. I smoked my first joint at Gillis Pk at S1st and oltorf, if I knew what I know now . Our favorite place for live bands was liberty lunch on sixth street, security was only there to breakup fights and ensure we didn't burn down the place.

Damn Gotvape420, I was wondering why someone would be in west texas growing weed. Everyone I met out that way was a square. You are right on the money about the sweet icky being in Austin, DFW, and H-Town. I used to drive from DFW to Austin to get some shrooms and party on 6th street.

man i wish i had to worry about infared ha im just biding my time until outdoor season comes around. the ganja situation is terrible for me right now, im basically at the point where all the people i know now have beasters (or the vietnamese equivalent from htown) which they try to pass as "dro" for dank prices 
. ****in rediculous man, not worth the money to buy that wet crap and barely catch a buzz ya know. no sweat though ill just have to plan my grows a little better this year to have a year round supply, plus i got a couple plants outside right now for a little winter experimental grow, dunno if itll work but at the very least i figure i can pull some seeds from it. blaze some homegrown for ya TX brothas who arent so fortunate

Lonestar, i remember that beasty bullshit the kids at school would bring back from houston. they would bring back zips of the wettest (abt to rot) weak nugs id ever seen and would brag like they were ballers or something. you can get that shit for 250 a zip, because when it dries you will have a little over a half oz. id just bring the dank from austin and match a bowl for 2 or 3 blunts lol. id buzz more off the tobacco than the bud!
