Thanks -vt-, Ill put in a small sumersible heater and set it at 67. That way when it gets chilly at night, my babies wont get temp shock. Peace, TBug

geez....ONLY 3 days later!!!!

High ALL! This is only 2-1/2 weeks of growth in the system, but almost 3-1/2 since they popped. Should I switch the over now or wait til' sunday? I dont want them to get out of control.(roots+hight)Any thoughts? Peace and enjoy, TBug

Since wednesday, only 2-1/2 days ago! notice how the hydrometer is quickly sinking into GReeen....He-He! I throw the switch to 12/12 today. Also, they've been sucking up an extra 10 gallons of water per week! While I have twice as many plants, that is three times the water. :yoinks:
Another note, you may find interesting.....Im using the same 10gal res nute amounts for 16 plants as I did for 8. Perhaps im stretching it a bit, but I felt TOO much was wasted in the past.

Cool setup. How often does your pump turn on and for how long?
High lander! ..and welcome! They run 2hours on 1/2hr off. I really need a timer with 15min intervals, though. Like I said WAaaay back that it almost turns into an NFT system once the roots hit bottom. And now that the res temps are holding at 67 degrees, it could actually fill up and be a DWC. The water is HIGHLY oxygenated so basically It need not turn off at all...I would think. Peace and thank, TBug

This going to be my "new grow" design in my new house. Though I like my Aero set up, It does not utillize the vertical space as much as I would like. this system will suit a 9x9 closet with 7ft cealing just perfect. I plan to a chiller on the main res, and a float valve for the RO unit to continue to top-off. I'll also run airstones to each bucket. I want to try the constant monitoring devices as well for EC and PH. My goal is to not change the res as often. Peace, TBug :woohoo: :woohoo:
MultiflowAni.gif

Another motivation for the change, is that I thinking of going with a more expensive brand of nutes that would be 100% hydro-organic. Those organic nutes dont work in Aero very well, cause the clogg the misters im told. No worries mates, the dude who is goin to buy my house is throwing in an extra grand to leave the garden as-is! lol He made out on that! Peace, TBug
PS this all wont take place for some time...Im just thinking out loud to ya all. It will have no impact on my current grow or the next one probably. :chin:

The multigrows are killer systems....should be a fun project...I like to think ahead too when the situation presents itself...glad you have some plans already in the works...you can have a much lower plant count too

Glad ya flipped 'em....I was wondering if you waited too long or not....I just flipped my bloom room also...lookin forward to the budshots

High -VT-! I was wondering that too. Three weeks is norm, isnt it? and they are well spread out. some are big and some are kinda smaller. do you think Ill run into any problems? What would they be?
Is it just the hight? cause I changed the mounts on my lihgting and I can pull them up another foot, maybe two. Thanks and peace, TBug

Uneven canopies are bad for obvious reasons..I'd move the bigger ones to the periphery....I have never grown aero or done a SOG....not sure when you should flip...but I've had overcrowding...in my setup I go by roots and height....but this time I am in a hurry lol....
I don't know how it's gonna turn out for you...can't wait to find out....
Is it me? Or does it seem like very few IC'ers grow aero? I like aero shows...but they are rare....wonder why? Maybe they all went to bio-buckets or flood/drain buckets :D

peace

High -VT-! Its not you. aero is very expensive and tech-savey. Many stray away for those reasons. Perhaps my thread will spark some interest. Several have stated that they will give it a go. Ive really enjoyed this grow most of all since growing, its been practically running itself. It was easy to build as well. so I would recomend it to others, and I believe others will give it a go with more threads like mine, ehh?Peace and be safe, TBug

I have tried E/F...but I think I'd prefer Aero...only reason I have not experimented with it is cause of my limits....

Less water....they don't need a big root mass...you can still "get off" on root porn :D Aero is cool

I think Lothar used Floranova...and I don't think he had clogging...

high -VT-! It all depends on the misters you choose and the power of the pump. there other variables aswell. Since this is MY first go at Aero, Im not expirementing much, but I probably will a bit in the future. Peace and luck, TBug
