It has that nasty funk but more in the background. Right now sage and other non sweet herbs takeover. No shoe polish or sausage smells.

S.A.G.E. at week 8. Watering only with plain water at this point. Early samples proved it's a very potent uplifted/euphoric type of high, very positive. No sweetness or sandalwood just a very sage/herbal type of phenotype. Dusted one branch with China Yunnan male.

Glad you got a good pheno. I'm sure the cross with the Yunnan will be even nicer.

So apparently S.A.G.E. is a creation of Mojave Richmond, not Adam. Now I know why Adam is less excited when people talk about S.A.G.E. 
So if I understood correctly, Mojave said that S.A.G.E. is:
(Haze/Afghan hybrid) × (Big Sur Holy Weed [Chamba/African × Afghan]) BX1

It was created to be a Sativa Afghani Genetic Equilibrium.
I only tried a few fems from TH seeds.

Some older pics here , can see 2 medium phenotypes , african dominant and a very sandalwoody / piney smell , and one shorter , putrid rotten grapefruit afghan daddy pheno ^^, there is no haze in S.A.G.E. irc ,just a potent afghan stud not an afghan haze

Indeed, got the feeling some people had la Sage or a kushage and got it sold as S.A.G.E. or so , still finding the same phenos in recent bought fem packs. Same flavors same potency when oversmoked

For me, sage was an ok smoke, nothing specacular for me in hindsight althouh at the time i'm sure i was pleased to have a smoke.
The sage fems were what i grew when i had no weed at all so i bought some fem seed to get a quick smoke. Some of it was up but not as up as i like and some of it sent me straight to bed and made me feel flat.
Lots of people say sage is fire. Like a lot of strains, when it is first released it is often a better version to what gets offered under the same name later on, loss of parents/pollen of p1 generation etc.
When did you get your sage? is it from recent fem seed?
Maybe i was a bit unlucky not getting one that really stood out. I'm very glad you found one though
I'd love to hear more about the high of that special gal.

Since 1998 , yearly grown ,mostly more 
. Really love this cultivar and the variety she offers, im not gonna say she the best , thats silly , each has their own ECB system and for each the best is different. @exoticrobotic once bought a pack from an official distributor that is not around no mo , but pretty sure it was sage cbd they sended , was not even in TH booklet ! , had 2 phenos in it only and it made me sleepy, very wooden lame taste imo

Like to pop multiple and go after the phenos me wants . But all pics here are fem seeds bought in the last 5 years from T.H. seeds
