Suby, comparing drinking nute solutions at the low concentrations I use, to eating a handfull of MG is Ignorant... Comparing a Handfull of MG to a handfull of castings is Ignorant... You drink up some shit tea full of e.coli and see how little it harms you...

It makes as much sense as your res gulp challenge, too bad sarcasm doesn't translate too well on the web
WTF, who the hell is eating e.coli, what doe e.coli have to do with vermicompost?

Hydro is not idiot proof... following lucas formula will not grow you the best smoke you can grow with GH... It'll have too much Nitrogen too late and be harsh... lucas is for pushing yield, not growing kind... GH done right is indistinguishable from organic...

The original question was about yield anyway but Lucas formula grew amazing herb in my bubblers, my first grow project and all I did was change the res every now and then, that's idot proof IMHO.

I've never contended that hydro done right is superior, just equal.
Is that holier than though?
I don't need convincing I'm sure of my path. :headbange

Let the "mineral" circle jerk continue lol.

To continue with the illogical arguments right out of Karl Rove's notebook...

No way. My uncle died in a Chrysler, so Ford is obviously better.

I see South park has invaded all of our lives. LoL

Anyways, if you guys are pissed about our arguments, don't participate... you can't change people and so just say **** it.

brain, I didn't learn anything from you, maybe I'm ignorant, even stupid, or maybe your a bad teacher... who knows.

We're all here to learn and share, I suppose we went off track a bit. My essential question was answered and I want to thank everybody for their contributions; both sides.

I hope everyone finds the best in life for themselves, without sacrificing anyone else's happiness.

EDIT: BTW, I do smell my own farts, for real. I am a hippy liberal douche.

My Organic mix is as follows:
A little Black Stuff
Some Green Stuff
Some more Black Stuff
Some off Grey looking stuff
Some Green Sand
Some More Black Stuff I use my hand to measure it all, WOW I'm Brilliant!

My Hydro Mix
What ever the bottle calls for untill I see I need somethin else or not.
If I'm feelin Real Scientific like I might use a 3 Part Grow and Flower and what ever additives suite my fancy. It's all good and I use what ever I have to use. So I'm much smarter right?

Wow I must be at least 2 times smarter than any of you! Except for Hazy I'm 10 Times smarter than him, FORD give me a break, or a Ford I'd take one free! :) Chrysler aint all that either LOL... Nice one Hazy.

I have to agree with the Head, fellas no ones SMARTER because you go all Organic get off your high horse. It's not all that hard to mix some stuff together.

We are talking about having an equal output of yield in the same amount of time. Its much harder to do with organics, which takes more knowledge and skill. Sure, if your not going for optimum this debate is pointless, but thats what this debate is about, so you point is pointless.

Your thread WAS about Equal output untill you and others say how much smarter you have to be, or grow up to be a big boy or what ever.

The most insane argument of all....

Organics is better that Hydro... Because it is much more difficult to get the same results... Awesome logic there, guys....

LMAO...

Wth I thought you guys would have given this up by now and nope your 7 pages into it.This argument is old. They been fightin it forever,no one ever "wins"cant yall see that.Like I said b4 there is nothing to "win".H3ad is right.Hell me and him had this same discussion in a different thread a week or so ago and it only took him minutes to educate me,minutes that was all.

Hmmm maybe my brain is a little more open to new ideas than most?I dunno. But I do know this,Im an organic nazi, excuse ma I am the organic Hitler and it didnt take much persuading for me to see H3ads side and realize he has some really strong points and obliviously knows what the hell hes talking about.

Cmon bruthers and sisters open your minds.Like I also said b4 we are all in this for a common goal,Understanding the science behind plant functions is imperitive whether organic or minerals are used and H3ad is obliviously well versed in said science. You guys have driven that intelligence right outa the thread twice now and thank lucky stars both times he decided to return. Why not see if maybe we can keep him around and maybe WE ALL can LEARN a thing or two seeing how thats what this forum is all about....LEARNING not ARGUING!!!Peace,Gromerr Pott!!!!

Organics - "The Rube Goldberg Machine of indoor gardening."™

Quoted for truth (And I had to steal that one)

Personally, I'm using organics as much as possible. The fact that I may be having less negative impact on the environment is reassuring, but in all honesty one of the main appeals is the 'hands off' nature of organic growing once you get things going.

Get a good mix, brew a few tea batches and you're pretty much set. Don't have to worry about getting PPMs, PH, RO water, TDS meters, all that sort of stuff. Mixing nutes with a dropper/syringe seems kinda neat though, could be amusing later.

Hydro=Big fast yields.
Organic=Low maintenance, robust.

Also for the most part Organics seem to be cheaper, which is a factor for me as well. Everyone will have their own preferences and opinions, we should just be polite and respectful as much as possible when discussing them. So lets pass a bong around and relax.

All I have to do is mix up a batch of nutrient, and I'm pretty much set... I don't worry with Meters for PPMs, pH, or TDS... Don't worry with RO water... Just calculate the formula and follow the recipe...

Other than hand watering from the rez, it's quite 'hands off' when done properly...

How does Hydro=Big fast yields? All my plants that took 65 days to flower in soil, take 65 days to flower in hydro... Plants that are pushed for yield loose quality... hydro works well with low ppms (I run around 450 - 500), and produces smoke comparable to organic smoke... The only thing that allows for bigger yields in the same time frame is the more robust vegetative growth of hydro... Organic can be low maintenance, true... But so can hydro....

Opinions are all good and everything, but aren't they trumped by provable facts?

ya know H3ad . . . we are kinda disappointed in your behavior in this thread . . . you are not alone in bringing a argumentative tone to the forum for sure . . . but as somebody who's representing a business here associated with ICMag . . . is it really in your best interests to taunt one of the organic forum mods? (we don't think so)

calling people fanatic 'Shit heads' isn't our idea of civil . . . so please stop . . . provoked or not you have enough posts and time on message boards under your belt to know better!

you'll never get us to agree that hydro-synthetics are better in any way for plants or yields . . . but we aren't going to tout organics as superior either . . . they are simply different ways to grow . . . and they both work . . . everybody should find what works best for them and their style / conscience / pocketbook
