Awesome thread. Some questions though.
Would it be too much trouble to post a video on how that Vortex sprayer looks in action? I found no luck on web.

Also, I see you used a PVC frame for your plant support. I thought you couldn't have PVC in area of HID lighting because it let's off dangerous gas.

How tall are your plants at harvest? What is the maximum height you would suggest for sog growing in a 2" netpot before requiring 3".

Check out Reptile Basics website. I use their pump, fittings, mist heads, but not their timer as it does not cycle deep enough for TAG/HPA. I use a Sentinel timer instead

Inline Filter...?

Inline Filter...?

 I know I am a little late to the topic, but any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I have everything to get my 3x3 system going, but I don't know where to get the inline filter. What brand was used on your system and where did you get it. Alternatively, if there is a better one, which would you recommend. The one you used in your guide seems simple enough, which is the way I like to keep it. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

DMFIT has an inline filter with press fittings. I wish I knew about it when I did mine (sprinkler filter). The filter wasn't costly, but the brass fittings to connect to the 1/4 line sure was.

Hey i am currently building a similar system and i was wondering what rating of mini sprinkler you use (gph). Also i was wondering if there was a particular reason, outside of how many plants you were trying to fit on the table, for using the 2 inch net pots as opposed to the larger sizes?

I am now on my second hpa grow using Hydro-Research VEG+BLOOM. ZERO build up in my DMFit filter inside my rez. I haven't checked the small screens inside the mist heads, but probably they are clean, too. Plants are growing nicely @ ~ 300ppms

Great thread, lots of ideas brewing. Too bad my 2nd prototype is running well but it's only for a month veg (maybe longer) then to flood and drain 4gal buckets for flower. Hoping that I won't need to top feed with developed roots. Now that I've read this I'm thinking about aero not flood and drain. But I have 9ft ceilings so it may be more beneficial to stick with the flood and drain to grow trees and scrog to keep plant #'s low. Decisions, decisions. I hate decisions heck maybe I can try both. Thanks to all those that contributed and the Pirate too.

1st time aero

1st time aero

as the title states,im going to try growing my own for the 1st time.and i want it to go right because im invest every dollar ii have into it. im building it based off of Pirates plans. with 360degree sprayers.and before anyone says it (i know it is not TRUE aero) but there are alot of people growing this way,and its relativly cheap. im going with sog type method. hoping to have a harvest every 6 weeks/maybe8 at the latest.i already have 2 400w mh with my mothers underneath.im purchasing everything else i need within the next month. which includes 2 600w hps ipower lights from amazon. im going with the lucas formula using GH micro and bloom. my questions are/ how much nuts to add for veging clones or does it stay the same, he says 300-500ppm for seedlings/ 800 for vegging clones/and 1200-1350 for flowering, but he uses 3 600w for flowering/where im only using 2. and what how what size pump do i need for around 40 sprayers. what size sprayers should i use(the red/blue/or white ez clone ones?) and how many mothers will i need to supply...lets say 100/120 clones at all times. ( 60 flowering at all times) how often do i have the pumps turn on inluding the time it takes for air to purge. im going to have 1 600w hps per tote(not a tote but actualy a mortar mixing tub) with 30 2in holes in each one. sorry for so many ?s and thank you for taking the time to help a beginer. any other advice is welcome or if im doing something wrong please tell me. before i lose my savings :)

Pirate has been inactive on ICM for some time.

Spray heads facing down when set off to the side of a net cup (and preferably between them) will have the sideways spray do the work for you just fine.
