Super-Charge Yor Growing with Aeroponics !!

Hey pirate i read somewhere that you said you yield 1 pound off one plant from aeroponics? If this is true then how much did you yield from the whole aero table?

Is this true?

One pound per TABLE. He did talk about a one pound plant at one point, but it was definitely not the focus of the thread.

read from the beginning. All will be revealed!

Thanks PIRATE yeah ive been looking high and low for some reviews on the aquamist but to have you own and used the system and say its A plus is great. is it possible to somehow drill a few simple holes here and there change a few connections on the aquamist so that one could have a seperate Rez so it would be easier to change ph, nutes etc? i was wondering this because a few pages back you said it was bitch to do nute change lifting the top with plants on it tryin to get to the rez.

I don't know if any of you are in the midwest but I know where you can get a 60 site aero unit for a song. I would post it but I don't know if that is allowed here. It retails for like $1200. Just thought I would thought that out here for all you aero lovers. Shoot me a pm if you want more info on it. And mod if this post goes against anything zap it. Thanks

Hey pirate is your abs plastic haircell?
My ABS sheets are smooth on one side and slightly rough on the other. Not stringy like fiberglass is. Just textured with a million tiny bumps (for lack of better explanation).

You can drill or configure it many ways. A seperate rez would work fine. You could also run the system with ONE plant kissing to gain access through that hole.

If ya got the cash. Go for it. Like I said. I am still useing mine years later and love it.

Yes I did yield 1 pound from one plant on the older system using the Vortex sprayer. On page #1 of this thread you can see the root ball that came out after harvest from that plant. It is the last photo of the DIY description.

You can achieve 1 pound per table but its not the table that does it. You MUST have ALL environmental conditions under control, growing techniques in order and a proper lighting set up as well. Its a combination of all. And the correct strain is a huge part of that equation.

Definitely Doable !!

onegreenday .....yah a 1 lb plant off the aero table
uh oh sounds like a Pirate thread comin on .......
I see I have a skeptic on my 1 pound claim. Actually it was over a pound !! I can post photos to quite the critics if I need to? (LOL) I wouldn't say what I couldn't back up. You've already seen the root ball. What do ya think was on top of that?

I called it the (Monster Skunk) It was well over 5 feet tall I had to bend it down all over the place to fit in a 4 foot space. After 90 days of flowering, I cut it down just to stop the bitch from growing anymore. It was just to damn big for my room.

Over 1 pound. One plant. Aeroponic table. Been there done that.:woohoo:

Response to PM:
i Have a question on your tutorial on the aeroponics tray, was just wondering what you used to time the pump to come on to circulate the watering cycles? and how long each cycle lasts, and finally how long in between cycles if u could answer that for me it would be great, I plan on building 1 as soon as I figure out how it is going to function

Sup Man ??
I use an adjustable "Cap" cycle timer. I set it for 5 on / 5 off. There are many differing views on the correct on/off times but that's what works for me. It gives plenty of water and then allows the roots to get some air get more water before drying out.

I have run the units without cycling. ON 24/7 for a couple harvest cycles.

You DO NOT have to have a cycle timer for a successful grow. If money is an issue........get one later. And you'll only need one. You can also use a strip plug into the timer and run several pumps from a single timer. They cost around $75.00 (Dollars).

Hope that helps !!

Pirate - I actualy started another thread today, before I found this thread... http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=126315

I am glad I found this thread as you are doing almost exactly what I am envisioning doing. Only I need something a little smaller that will fit into a cabinet.

I am looking at the Botanicare 2x2 tray, and was going to use a "tough box" rubbermaid like tub as the rez.

Have you seen any of the Botanicare lids for the Botanicare flood trays? Like this http://www.pchydro.com/grow-systems-trays-c-14_15/2x2-grow-tray-lid-white-p-1832

I was thinking of just using one of those, and drilling out holes for netpots.

I was wondering if they would be sturdy enough?
