Thanks brother; Where’s the course you manage more specifically if you don’t mind?

Planting some Garlic today, trying different spacing arrangements. Large potent cloves like always, I only plant from 6 clove bulbs these days & a handful of 4 cloves bulbs, after a decade + of selecting on these it’s amazing what you can achieve, incredible potent flavor but huge cloves thus much easier to work with…

Just under 5lbs of cloves

Sometimes you’ve just gotta make your perfect tool for the deed, actually often

Big garlic fan here! Just bought several lbs of Russian Red from the fruit stand. My favorite garlic all round.
I don't remember for sure but it was around $14.00 lb.

I get the idea you do exceptionally well at most things. I can appreciate your effort.

I'm lucky if I get half of what I do done without a glitch. The older I get, the glitches keep adding up. Pretty soon I'll need a ladder to get to the top of my glitch pile:)

Garden sweet potatoes, beets, garlic & carrots still need to be cut, this goes into oven & roasted, drizzle olive oil all over top, tiny bit salt - so good

Getting this GH ready for late winter plantings, nicer to get it done now vs in February - come time to plant I’ll just fold back the sides, create some mounds & plant away….

Pic taken from a 75 year old redwood bench my Grandparents first had then my family growing up & now mine - growing up we’d sit on this thing on our covered front porch all the time, it’s a great rocker but put your feet up on the lip & watch out for squashing them Achilles when your buddy decides to rock forwards or jump out - haha, the memories

Trying to select on these NC x Oax and the NC is tough, thus far 5/5 showing sex from the NC x Oax are females, their terpenes are heavenly. I started Six NC x Oax and @ 65 New Caledonia of which were selected down to @30 which are all now being sexed, 6 females (my favorites) have also already been up-planted into tubs - in a few weeks will have a much better idea of what’s going on

Cuts, seedlings, cactus, orchids & soon to be selections from aforementioned- lots of different lights going on off in there different times but total on now is 14/10 - This room is @ 14 x 10’ or so plus a 10’ x 2’ closet

Something went wrong with sweet potatoes, almost none off the ones I harvested huge potatoes from last year and only a bunch of extremely long, deep & thin ones off the deep purple Korean type…

I have a few key ideas where I fucked up & will remedy on my end, one I should have foreseen the others not so much… Beautiful mid fall harvest of peppers, beautiful time of year especially when weather is nice, saying it’s gonna try & hit 80F on Halloween - FK Yeah ! My daughter has some soccer friends coming over and a few from our neighborhood to go @ trick or treating; they’re gonna remember this night for rest of their lives I bet - gonna be a blast !

I have a tallish cactus like the ones you have on the right side of the photo, do you know what they are called? Last year mine fell over in the pot and lost all of it's roots accept for a crown of roots around the base of the cactus. I staked it up and it is still living.
I have 2 orchids that are growing their bloom stems.

You can chop it up, if you let the cut area dry properly they can sit on a shelf many months, toss in soil & they’ll start growing again, cactus are crazy hardy

Those all came from the same cut; it used to be over 6’ tall and 5” diameter but I gave many away to friends & family, at least ten new homes have them and composted the rest, a big cactus weighs a shit ton (hundreds of lbs) - it was getting impossible to manage & move @ during winter…

They are Peruvian Torch (type of San Pedro) which came from a California fella whom died many many years ago now, they are a very old cut from a Peruvian Farmer that were then many decades old & very high in alkaloids - all of these have mescaline in them though I’ve yet to ever extract any… But I’ve had these cuts for nearly 15 years and the guy before me many decades before that so they are at least 40 years old but likely closer to 60+ iirc

Orchids are a blast but growing cactus, succulents & varying types of orchids all in same rooms a bit tough ;)

Peace brother

I was given that cactus by a neighbor who left it on my porch. She didn't want it and gave it to me 15 or more years ago. It caused me to reflect on another member here who has a similar cactus and it looked like his had been chopped and there was new growth. That's interesting.
I also wondered if it was a psychoactive plant. I have no interest in that other than curiosity.

My one plant table has 6 cacti, 2 orchids and 1 African Violet, they all seem happy together. Both orchids bloom and the African Violet never seems to stop.
I have an Easter and Christmas cactus on another table and they have never bloomed.

72F already @930 am - that’s like 20 degrees above the highs for this time of year already - crazy, had to unpack some the winterized outdoor stuff for a party we decided to have tonight for the kids pre trick or treating, I’m excited ! But first a nice long ride in the woods & at the quarry is entitled - I’ve been a busy bee the past 5 weeks !

Our school district bought golf course adjacent to The HS etc. but currently it’s in limbo, it abuts the 1000 acre + quarry area I ride in often, both are great places to ride just down the hill from me :) - man does a course go bad fast !
