Our school district bought golf course adjacent to The HS etc. but currently it’s in limbo, it abuts the 1000 acre + quarry area I ride in often, both are great places to ride just down the hill from me :) - man does a course go bad fast !

On one of the greens it’s still nice comparatively

Just got done mowing the lawn and I’m certain I’m going to need to again, wild it’s November & a significant amount of leafs are still on most the trees

Almost nothing smells better, long day of hard work outside man I’m looking forwards to dinner

Fresh garden peppers roasted up, add garlic & olive oil oh man so so good as a topper for sandwiches, wraps, steak…. - anything savory

Looking great for November, gonna wash down the outdoor Durlumbo with pressure tomorrow from below & all around, clean off most the remaining bugs & clean up all the flowers then gonna let it ride till Mid November or later, looking to harvest after first snow

Too funny; so my girls are outside playing all day yesterday @ the hood & at end / nearing dinner they were across the street with the boys - 5 & 4 year olds, both my kids come home for dinner with chocolate on their face; we’re like who’s feeding you candy…? After a bit of back & forth they admit Mason had a stash….

The 5 year old has a carved out pumpkin outside filled up with candy….🤣

This morning waiting for the bus his grandfather is looking @ for him (he puts him on the bus every morning) and we see him on the front porch raiding his stash - we watch the grandfather walking @ the corner about to catch him, he wraps up just in time to get the lid back on & walk by him like nothing happened, watching this from our porch is comedy bit funny, only better…

Now We’re just wondering when / if we should tell the parents or wait, they are friends of ours making it all the funnier; I think we’ll hold off on that text & let the story unravel…I wonder how much he’s got in there - haha…

Me telling the story does no justice, Mason is the cutest little boy with a huge Afro of curls (red head) with a face of pure mischief & freckles - what a hilarious way to start the day - lmao

I was a golf course worker on the grounds and loved the zen feel of a well kept course.
Here ya go fellas; pic from Green Lakes Course a handful of weeks ago showing beauty of the area & one of the trees changing from Camillus CC not too far away either more recently

Hydrangeas are beautiful for this late in the year

Hibiscus has no clue it’s November
IMG_0162.jpeg

Snapdragons, straw flowers, coneflowers, zinnias etc have all decided to pretty much volunteer everywhere and they too aren’t aware it’s November, here’s one tiny area of overflow

Those golf course photos do justice to it, beautiful calm scenery.

I've never had a hibiscus plant they are quite attractive. I am going to look into them.
Snapdragons are the last flowering plants in my yard, there a few scattered here and there still flowering.

Tomorrow will be the highest temp left for the year 7C/44F. Next week we get into negative numbers and it's all downhill after that.

Have to get out into the sunroom tomorrow and mix up my indoor veg mix(50L) for this indoor season. I don't like working outside when it's cold, it's hard on my spinal issues but there are less gnats about. Gnats are a problem here in my area, have to be careful and not invite them in. Well, at least try.

Hydrangea is my favorite landscape plant. There are soooo many. I have made a few lines in the past that were picked up by the big companies. I worked with the black stem plants. Black stem with blue or mauve flowers are so striking.

Just started tomato seeds for winter pheno hunt and clones. My goal is making a red round tomato that actually tastes great.

Crossing heirlooms to hybrids and weeding through the progeny is fairly similar to cannabis.

My customers this season actually bought up all the heirlooms for once. I'm training the people, finally, to embrace tomatoes that do not look like conventional red rocks. I had some amazing yellow tomatoes this season and had to give away several bushels to get folks to come back pounding on the door demanding more. But they did! Progress! They have not embraced the black ones yet lol

The problem is I have close to 600 variety of tomato seeds and picking which ones to grow is always a chore.

Loving it bro ❤️ Im hunting good heirloom tomatos for next season, just planted three different varieties of garlic so we'll get to harvest them earlier than if planted in the spring.

Just an incredible Election Day, kids had half day and I was gonna trim Peach & Apple trees but decided to take down the Purple Durlumbo instead; what a Queen

IMG_0066.jpeg

Lovely site for my eyes new sandbox being put to use by many already - selfishly / protectively I prefer having the kids here vs someone else’s house

After I already cut out entire back

theres fish in there !!
people are always fishing the top & bottom of the damn and Lock there, beautiful little village, nice small amphitheater too that is an island in fact (which is where I'm taking pics from), really a great little village and has a couple decent restaurants too amongst an array of crummy ones, like most places...

but what I think you see is the trails from the ducks as it's a time lapse photo of a few seconds due the lighting / phone settings.... or you're just saying there's fish in there, lol, yes of course :)

I have spent most of my life living in small communities, my preference for sure. I like the character of small town life and the closeness to the rural landscape. Our drinking water is so much better than city water.

Our County has @ half a million in it so a good size imo, small but enough going on to keep ya in trouble - I spent a decade plus living downtown Chicago, plenty to be had there too but I definitely prefer where I am now, especially with a family

Our drinking water comes from one of the cleanest lakes in America (states) & is aquifer & spring fed, as a kid we’d just dip a cup in it & drink direct when out boating - interestingly we also had one of the most polluted lakes in the world @ here too but it’s been being cleaned now for decades and is much much better than it was but I believe still some to go, could be wrong on that to go part

****************
Durlumbo cuts came in with all types of shit including mites, I dunked them but eggs that lived on are hatching now, definitely russets / broads on there too; thrips as always @ too but I’m betting I can get them to push on through both /all as I knock ‘em back with peppermint castor soap & Spinosad, I’m not interested in using anything stronger….
