Strawberry Cough x SSSDH Test Grow

Nice looking plants LaryC.
I found that, after working with his StrawCough hybrids, that they go for 10-12 wks.
Especially X'ed to a SSSDH. I would say 12 wks is the magic # as far as maturity of the flowers goes.

Maybe this next round of gals will go longer - but these bitches were ready in 8 weeks! :joint:

#1 pheno can go longer than the rest - but idk how stable they would be, being pushed that long. The seed plants didn't even need 12 weeks. and #7 hermied cause she was done week 8 and I pushed her to 9.

Im about ready to close this thread - infact Its spring cleanign time soon so I'll be really thinning things out so prob half these pictures will be gone and I won't update more on this cross in here - just my diary.

THe recent weather just dried these buds in under 2 days... EXTREMELY UPSET cause this winter weather is bullshit - different everyday it was fucking 80F yesterday... prob again today and I oh my poor buds are sooo dry....

A few harvests ago I decided to try a new drying spot and the buds were crispy at the end of day two. I almost cried so I definitley feel ya.
And congrats on such a great thread bro. You've probably sold a ton of sc x sssdh with this thread.

They on a heater? It takes like 150+degree heat to dry out buds crispy in 2 days.
You didnt hang them in a cool, dark closet?

I have room mates - NO WAY JOSE am I going to try that out with those stoner mofo's - although I respect and trust them greatly - its a game not worth playing.

The buds were in my room hanging from fishing line near the ceiling - I just installed my A/C after waiting for the tool to repair the fins and some industrial cleaner - it was MOLDED OUT! disgusting - I still have to take it completely apart - few hours of labor sure worth saving the 250$ i was ganna drop on a new more powerful A/C

So the buds were in my room hanging with window open - 77F probalby 15% humidity these past few days - nothing I could of done - and yeah man I was smoking the samples day 2 and then realized - i'm fucked.

BUT no worries - A/C is up n running and the rest of #5 and #1 will get a proper burial

Live and learn right? Im still new to all this - didnt' realize drier winter months mean shorter drying times.

ITs all gravy tho brotha - I'm sure the wax these sluts make will be superb!

LyryC, how was the stretch on these beans. Pick up a pack after your grow show, impressive.
Too bad about the dryness of the buds, just harvesting my gdoggyp and wifi today. Will
take extra care to check dryness also.

I never did the math but I did track the numbers I would have to look up the harvest heights but hoenstly if you track thru the thread -y ou will find that info as I updated with Finishing heights including average heights so with the numbers yo ucould do the math.

Hope this helps - and much appreciation for your kind words. OJD has a stellar SSSDH Stud and I'm pretty sure all those crosses came out great!

To be quite honest I'm going to get another pack of these they were such a pleasure to grow.

I'd love to see yours come to life man - keep me posted!

Its an honor and I will always do my best for everyone - its what the plant deserves!

As for the Strawberry Haze I'm going to drop pheno #5 cause shes super stretchy and doesn't fill in as much as #3 who has the same structure but shorter so she fills up nicer and she has stronger terpentenes. #4 is so nicely stacked up - i'll take more photos tonite - this is a pain in the ass to be honest - very hard decisions - its like each one is competing with the others and they are all primo - but I need to really buck up and just do it.

I realized #7 is basically just SSSDH - shes very lemony - with a good long solid cure that first #7 plant I harvested is sooooooo dank - I hope I can improve the structure a bit with different grow style otherwise shes gone. #4 hasn't hermied yet at all - with some good lollipopping and her stretch is much more manageable than the first time around giving her what looks to be possibly a bigger cola than the strain photo on the bay and tude.

#1 is well #1 only more grows and time to come up with a verdict - TBH she hermied too - Shes 10 weeks MAX.

I am aiming for 8 weeks on #3/#5 and 9 weeks for #4 and as soon as I got roots on #1 #7 the mammas going into flower adn their going to be HUGE. I bent tops down on #7 and #1 and well I might ahve to do a scrog soon

Each Pheno is a PITA to choose from - but alas the spot light is shining!

The Verdict is out Pheno #1 - ironically - is the best pheno without doubt.

#7 is too lose of a structure - #1 is super dense - I like the taste but its time to move on

Basically #1 has all the best of each of the other phenos - their tastes resin coverage vigor and yield. She produces the berry flavored and smelling buds that have hints of the SSH in them that are absolutely coated in trichs while being very dense.

Shes a slow vegger but that'll soon change as I start to prepare her offspring for a monocrop soon to come! She hasn't had the greatest veg situation but doing great no worries - just not the type of veg situation where things need to be cut back every week or 2.

#4 will stay with me as well as head stash until the next wave of beans arrive and I can pheno hunt again for possibly an even better plant.

Say good bye to #3 #5 and #7. #4 is the pheno ojd choose to represent this cross I can't just drop her like that - shes going to get 3 roudns like the rest before a final verdict cause I love smoking her and I feel like the taste adn smell will be more profound this run like the others have shown.

Probably lost #4. Only #7 is cloning well. #1 will be around for a very long time tho.

Its Day 44 and right now everyone is being flushed for an 8 week schedule with #4 being the variable pheno possibly going 10 weeks for me <3

I'm not worried i'm losing #4 cause I got more beans on the way and I can't wait to grow OJD's treasures. IDK wtf im going to do with so many seeds lol
