Strains with speedy effects

FTL

🚀
I would say there is minimal change in effect, it has zero exposure to O2 or light - having said that, I think any change is only due to the compression and possible disruption of the trichomes as a result of that.

I don't know what cryogenic cannabis is, but it seems that deep freezing it for a long period would be a description of that, and that is what I have done. It is nice to have a library of strains to choose from though!
Yes that’s what I was getting at. Probably not the correct term for the technique. Man

I love this, You’ve Inspired me to start a freezer library too . Thank you :)
You're welcome! I highly recommend the "jack puck" for compression - it comes in either round or square sizes, the square one makes 2" square pucks that are about 1/2" thick and weigh about 35g each. If you use food saver bags, 6 pucks fit nicely in there, and then you can triple bag and seal them for protection.
A word of caution - I thought at one time that more compression is better, so I tried using a stronger jack. The jack puck is 2 ton, so I tried a different set-up with 10 ton, and it squeezes out the resin from the grass, so more compression is not good unless you are looking to extract the resin!
cool, I’ve bookmarked this to come back to as notes.

I’m not from the northern hemisphere so I have never had “brick weed”. Does it fluff back out after you unpack it?

Does it work Ok freezing and not pressing, just vacuum packing it?

35gn in 2x0.5in square wow that’s is packed in there!

No, it doesn't fluff up - but if you put it into a coffee bean grinder (not a burr grinder) it gets a nice consistency. The joints weigh more than ones that are ground up uncompressed flower because of the compression, and it burns more like hash. If you have a good vac machine, it would compress it somewhat, but I don't know if it would keep for as long. I only do it that way when I want to ferment the buds to make a product similar to cob ( see Tangwena's thread on this).

I hope I haven't derailed this thread!!!

The swazi came from ROMS, and I guess the phenos I had were not the gold with 16 wk flowering, but more the classic 14 weeker. The Malawi was sourced directly from Jim of Afropips , and I probably grew them about 2005. Still have some in the deep freeze, and it is still great!
growing Roms Swazi red now....so far the stickiest stem rub of over 20 varieties..red striped stalk..slow grower

I think it might be a scorcher..

in flower room now and cuts taken

Do you have a grow thread or some pics? Don't want to hijack this thread, but very curious. I might cross Roms' Swazi to mine on the next breeding adventure and am curious how it behaves. Burgundy leaf stems on young plants and eventually on the stalk seem to be a common trait between the 2.

Mine had green stalks - I didn't get to experience the fully finished product because of a massive aphid infestation, from bringing in some outdoor plants to hang. The swazi could have gone another 4 or 5 weeks if they were healthy.
Also had an accidental pollination , which actually turned into a nice pairing ( Swazi x Santa Marta Colombian) and it is a beauty of a sativa!

I am excited to seen what the high is like...ihavev found some african weed varieties have a strange head buzzy high that does not necessarily translate to enjoyment[ at first anyway]..but then again some do after that wears off 15 minutes later..

The variety I have is from reeferman, the one he used in love potion . Probably the only worthwhile variety he produced imo. I wanted a seed increase, but I got 8 males from 8 seeds, and no more seed to work with.
