Strain selection for outdoor 2012....

I would say the cherry pie, La Con, Chocolope, Granddaddy Purple would all be verified plants for my area in Northern California. The GSC should do well, but has not been tested. The OG Kush I have my doubts about and might find it's way into the garbage. The rest all sound like they should work, however I have not personally grown them, or know anybody personally that has grown them. As for your area, I have no idea. Sounds like you might have to search for Canadian strains if you need an early harvest. Or even better, a nice c-99 from Dutchgrown seeds or Mosca Seeds. That reminds me, I have a handfull of c-99 beans sprouted for this years outdoor also. Great plant, early finish, fruity buds, anything else? O yea, great yield.

Hey OrganicBuds,

a really interesting strainlist you are presenting us :D
i would love to grow some of these genetics here in my country: the og-kush, chocolope and so on...
do you think they will be all suitable for growing outdoors, or are there some test-strains in between as well... sometime we have a quite rainy autumn here in my area so i have to be carefull what the put out there...

best wishes for your list!

Hazeo

Just to make sure, the cherry pie is the same as GS Cookies or no?

No, GSC is Cherry Pie crossed with a Durban or something like that. It has been told 50 times in this thread and I still can't remember, lol. Pot Head.:tiphat:

My strain this year is Durban Poison and Frisian Dew pollinated by outdoor skunk. Its quite poor, looking at your list, wish to have genetics like yours!:blowbubbles:

It will be great but since you will be using seeds consider doubling up because you will likely get a male or two unless you are using feminized seeds.

Yes it is!! One of the few plants that is for sure getting passed on to the next generation! Bless it up!

I only know it as snow. No relation to the dog strains. Looks like an old school afghan of sorts as the plant is very indica dom very short stout structure. Yields deceptivly well. ( small bushes yielding 2+ lbs). Always one of the first to finish. I assume The name has something to do with the large amounts of frost.

Running a strict lineup of mostly Biddy Early and a very heavy yielding green pheno of Mandala #1. Supplementing/experimenting with two different phenos of C99 BX#1 (fruit punch and grapefruit).

The Biddy Early is from the original Magus non-fem release. Mother plants were pretty much impossible to keep but I managed to find one that isn't an auto. I've hung on to it for several years now as it is a favorite of mine for outdoors (northeast). I truly believe it is one of the best outdoor plants you can have.

Ol Betsy- I took her before the storm last year so a week earlier than I would have liked but she did not brown on me nor was she this red color a few have talked about. She's half my garden.

The other half:
WC Dog
Green Crack
Heart Attack Kush
Kush Cleaner
Guava Kush
TWA
Sour D
Mendo Pineapple
Afgooey x Swt#3 - I need to name this one...but she's untested so I'll wait and see if she's even worth naming
Triangle Kush, Chem 91, Fire OG - for the head

Veg n out- What the 411 on the OGChem2? Nspecta said she was potent...is she early? OG smelling?

Veg N Out

I selected the OG Chem 2 as the best phenotype out of a few different ones my friend in Garbageville grew out from seed in 2010...The nug is potent and very OG. The inhale is SFV the exhale is Chem D and the nug Nspecta and I puffed on tested to like 25% THC on out door nug.. Should be ready fairly early but the cats doing this piece are in 200 gallon smart pot so I think they might be getting them root bound and that's triggering her off. I'm going to have some in my trenches and see what she does with no limitations on water root space or sun light.
