Welcome Kov, I hear you on the lack of news. I trust RC is doing as well as can be expected. It is quite likely he will be prohibited from using the internet, that is a common court ordered restriction in cases that involve internet activity. I have never heard of court ordered restriction on snail mail, hopefully there will be some positive news eventually.

In the mean time, we owe it to RC to adapt to the changes and continue growing, communicating and learning. That is the legacy we have inherited.

LUI's are ready, I am sure the final inspection will bare that out and the drying can begin. Tomorrow will be 14 days past the optimum, that should be plenty of time.

Dust in the wind..as long as it's not pollen...LOL..Just eye candy again??I think that it's great to have this little competition..this way we all are starting out with the same beans/strain and we can show what we can do...BTW anyone get ahold of jaap? and what about smkn?...If anyone has a way of getting jaap..let me know..better go check the U.C...see if they are up yet..back soon...stay safe..

Smkn has landed at another site, when he gets feed up with the trolls, he will find his way here.

Yea, that's him, burning up huge chunks of bandwidth too.

^^^Legends Ultimate Indica from Legends Seeds. You can check it out in vendor forums here - DJ Short and Legends Seeds. This strain got a mighty reputation.

clear and blue

hmm..nice looking indica. looks to be a nice trim unlike most. ive kind of thought that ive already found my ideal strain in Kali Mist (some other haze variations are delicious too) but im still on the lookout. arjens haze is meant to taste like a refined kali and is also on my todo list.

thanks for clearing that up kov

i quite like standing in the room with the lights off to find any leaks (pump and adaptor leds etc). getting used to the complete dark to the point where your getting near vertigo, then having someone plug in the lamps from the outside.... good morning!

Hey Stoner! Good to see a familiar face....
Have seen quite a few names that I have grown acustomed to seeing on OG..
Now that it's gone, :badday: looks like this will be my new home. :lurk:
Looks like your spring has sprung and your off to a good start. I have got my starts going well too.. Have a bunch of clones rooted and vegging and 4 well established moms that I think I'll put out come march.... Has been rather warm where I am lately.... :) Makes me hopefull that I may actually be able to pull a spring harvest..
Well... My first post on this forum and I am sure there are MANY more to come.... :joint: Long live the spirit of OG and here's to a great year to come... :woohoo:

DB beans are 48 hours and no activity yet......I may have to keep them under my pillow tonight!

Fortunately, I have a few extra days on the front and back of my grow window to play catch up.

Glad to hear the LUI's are done. 94 days is quite an accomplishment stoner.

Two heads usually takes the Winter off, we seldom see them posting until Spring draws near. Much like hibernation, when the THC levels in his system begin to drop, he will emerge from his den all hungry and ready for a new season of fun.

Oh joy, today is the day. :D I am getting lots of Sunshine today, pictures to follow shorty.

CS, I saw germination when I planted them, but none have actually broken the surface, yet...

This plant has had an extra two weeks to insure the seeds are mature.

Here are the previous 5 weeks of images from Zero to Stash in Eighty Days.

They look great stoner, It's nice to be self sufficent. The best of both worlds, a little head stash and some beans to boot!

It took 60 hours but the DB didn't disappoint me. 5 out 6 so far.

I do things a little different, I usually wait until the cotyledons pop from the seed before I put them into soil. I'm sure my method seems unorthodox but, it has always worked for me.

I see the first sprout today, just over 100 hours.

I left a previous germination until they reached that stage, once. Perhaps I was being overly cautious, there was quite a big root already, and they were not properly anchored in the soil. They grew out horizontally and I had to replant again, with a huge root.

With known good seed, I soak for 24 hours and plant the pre-germinated seed. As soon as the root emerges, it can get a good grip before it's time to grow the top.

I am sure either way works just fine, I know better then to just lay them in hole now.

YES!!!

I have my first LUI f2, the sample seed selected at 66 days of flowering. :D

It has just shown itself, suggesting an image taken later today, with the two good sized buds framing the seedling..... Sure hope the Sun stays out.

That makes the 80 day challenge 100% successfull. What did I learn?

Minimum vegetive growth limits the maximum size of the bud. Check.

66 days of flowering found them fully ripe. Check.

45W CFL is enough light to do the job. Check.

Pollen remains viable, stuck in the layer of tricromes, for a couple weeks. Check.

That marks the end of the cycle, except for the smaller buds I left behind. Will they continue to mature or will they regenerate under vegetive lighting?

Derailed Blues are sprouting nicely. 3 hardly wee sprouts are basking in the light.

Nothing further on the White Widow, but they can go another week or two. With only one plant, I want to maximize the chances of it being female. There are a number of nute and tempeture/humidity conditions that I can control. There as even been published reseach on the application of electricy to influence the selection for females.

Great job stoner, Seed to stash in 80 days, and some interesting info aswell.

I didn't realize the pollen stays viable for more than a few days but, tucked away in the trichs, it appears to be preserved or protected.

Great info , thanks for sharing.

DB's placed into the soil today, with their cotyledons above the surface. Taproots were less than 1.5 inches or 3.7 centimeters

Excellent news, best part of a comparison grow is comparing notes on similar stages of development.

What are you plans for these plant?

At this point, I am thinking 8 weeks of vegetative growth and start flowering in early April. That should see them finished in time for my Summer deadline and will require photoperiod management for the last month.

I am hoping to see a Train Wreck phenotype to carry on from where I left off last Fall.
