Big Harvest Update!

So I took down the Green Crack plant, the big girl, 3 days ago. She definitely was ready enough, the buds were fatter and stinkier than expected, and only a few small mold spots. However it did rain hard promptly after, and has stayed rainy and cold since then, so I feel like it was best to chop her. She reeeked so good. I trimmed almost every fan leaf without resin at the spot just for ease and for the lack of having to dispose of it later.

She's definitely a nice yielder. I've been trimming like mad, but she's a bitch in that regard. A little leafy, with just tons of sticky delicious resin that clogs the scissors (I use the nice fiskars trimmers) only like halfway through one small branch. I've made a little progress on trimming all of her, but I'm probably not even halfway yet after a lot of work. The resin also extends to most of the smaller fan leaves, more so than any other plant I've grown. She's gonna give me tons of nice dry sift So I'm very pleased with that.

I didn't take a final picture of the beast since she looked pretty much the same as in the last update, but I do have a few trimmed flower shots, still slow drying, not even close to jar ready. Not my best trimming job, but I've gotta work a little quicker this time around:

The smell of the room was ridiculous the first few days too much for my little carbon filter, but it wasn't really an issue.

It's getting colder in the spot with the 3 smaller girls, and the rain has made me decide to chop the Northern Lights x Big Bud Auto (seems only part auto). The 707 will go for a bit more however, and the Frisian longer of course.

The Frisian Dew is finally starting to put on weight, and doing okay, despite weather more in the 60's and 50's now. Should yield somewhat decently for the size, as the other plants from this spot shot very dense buds. Still a ways to go yet:

The 707 is also well, on the previous visit, when I could get a better whiff of her, she had an amazing lemony sweet smell. It would be nice to have that variety along with the GC. Her buds are almost like fat little rocks, extremely dense feeling. I want her to go for another 2 weeks maybe, if possible:

Here's the NL x Big Bud Auto right before chop. Definitely lives up to the name, that main cola is fatter than any other bud this year. I only found mold on a single calyx on this one:

She, compared to the Green Crack, was an easy trim. Short spiky leaves, and only a little sugar on the trim, most of it's on the buds. Only took me today to trim her, with time to spare, while the Green Crack is still going to take several more days at the least.

Hoping for maybe around an ounce from this one. The Green Crack is going to be the overwhelming majority of the yield for the year, but the little plants will be a nice supplement and some variety. Now I've got to get back to trimming the beast! Get those scissors oiled up. That green crack sure looks tastey. You do a good job trimming! I love plants like that, just resin everywhere! Thanks for the update! Season is trying to shut down, but cannabis is resilient. Let them ripen if ya can...

I'd agree that GC looked ready enough.
I'm in the same boat, just harvested a bunch that were ready-ish, left some out to finish a bit more. Got a heck of a day of rain and wind then temps dropped to about the same as you........ hoping for a few decent days lol.
I will be trimming like a basturd in the mean time haha.

pipeline: Yeah for the time being the two remaining girls are staying out, I think we've just about hit the end of the crap weather here, fingers crossed, and we'll get a sunny week to help finish them out.

NeDank: I may try that method at some point this year, but dry sift is usually easiest for me and I yield pretty well that way.

I'm nearly done trimming the Green Crack, should be done today, a few buds are dry already, gotta take those down, too. Hopefully I'll have some more dry shots soon and updates on the remaining girls once they get the chop.

How's the smoke treating ya? Hope all that trimming is done by now!

Consider getting a spin pro type trimmer next time if you want to avoid hours and hours of trimming non stop! Best $150 ever spent lol!
