looking good bro! im gonna be watching closely how that green crack does. what breeder did u use for the GC? i like the fact that its one those st8 up skunky smell strains

gorilla ganja: I have not, but I ran Dutch Passion genetics the last two seasons with pretty good success.

Kygiacomo!!!: Humboldt Seed Organization was the breeder. During planting she was giving off a skunky, lemony dank smell that was pretty amazing

i like humboldt seeds. i did their blue dream last year. i was gonna do their trainwreck this year but i put the seedling into organic living soil to fast and it burnt the shit out of it and i only had 1 lol. next year i will buy a whole pack of their TW. i found a few guerilla reviews of it on 420 mag and the reports said its got very good resistance. i love the skunk smell its my favorite which is why next year im gonna be on the hunt for the cheese aka skunk strains for guerillas

A little update

Good news and some pretty bad news.
I got my amendments, some nice worm castings, azomite, and 0-10-0 Jamaican bat guano for flowering. I went to top feed the girls outside with it, the Green Crack is doing well, but had an ant infestation with lots of eggs in the mulch and top layer of some of the soil, I removed them as much as I could, and took off the affected mulch, but I need to bring some diatomaceous earth out there real bad.

The real bad news is that the Frisian Dew girl looks like she's not gonna make it. She's drooping like she's very dehydrated, but the soil is moist. In fact it's been raining a bit much and she may have water logged roots, and with more rain in the forecast, it doesn't look very good for this plant right now, we'll see if she recovers. In the meantime I'm forced to start a back up plant inside and kill the male, so the year doesn't end up yielding next to nothing. :frown: There were no bugs, bend stems, or anything else odd that I could notice.

If the plant is water logged in the spot it is in maybe you can transplant it to a better spot.
If it is dying then it won't hurt to try.

UPDATE

Okay so the Frisian Dew kicked the bucket. Just the other day, a few days after a bad storm, I visited the remaining Green crack plant. She's good and growing well, starting to spread with my LST and bush up like my large plants did last year. Good progress there at least.

It's damn late, but I've started a 707 Headband fem seed, and I've got a friend that will hopefully gift me a few auto beans :) I have a new area with a lot of light, so hopefully this will help me recoup some of my losses from what the Frisian would have produced. Also trying to pop a couple bagseeds, but they're ending up all duds so far.

Hope to have pictures soon for you guys, but I wanted to let you know I'm still alive and growing

Picture Update

Things are going significantly better now, I've got a couple things started inside. An auto northern lights x big bud, a 707 headband (currently the oldest), and another Frisian dew. I'm hoping that my new area with good sun will give me some bushy, decent-yielding late season plants. I'm gonna try and give them a good load of soil so they do well.

Here's a pic of them inside, the big one is the 707, and that should be going out shortly, as to not waste any veg time outdoors.

And so far the Green Crack has been doing stellar, no weird slow growth or sudden death to speak of (knock on wood ) Starting to bush out nicely, although her top grew up a little, I was able to train it back down easily. A wonderful stink on her.

Here's a pic of her after some training, 1 and a half months after the last pic, when she was planted.

I will update next probably when I've planted the 707 Headband girl, until then :tiphat:

UPDATE

Green Crack lookin beautiful!! Nice work!!

Thanks bro!
Here she is a few days ago, she could rival the massive Brainstorm plant I had last year in size:

And after some more training to spread her out, very important in this location, as the sunlight doesn't have as much penetration into the canopy:

Here's the 707 Headband a few days ago, trained over as she's had quite a growth spurt  She'll hopefully grow for another two weeks before she starts flowering:

Today she had taken well to her training and was pushing her smaller tops up. Really healthy looking 7-9 fingered fans now.

I also planted the other two, the first a few days ago, and the second today. They're still quite small. I mixed the pots up, so I'm not 100% which is which, but I believe the one I planted today was the Auto Northern Lights x Big Bud, as it's showing small preflowers already despite being like 8 inches tall. The other, probably the Frisian Dew, is starting to take to the new environment.

I should stand to yield significantly more with these three, in relation to the size, than I have in the past, as the light is really phenomenal here. Minus the protective 3-4ft high brush (cleared out around each), the sky is open above them, and the spot gets pretty much all day.

I should update a little more frequently as things start to flower, as long as I don't get too swamped (pardon the pun). This year is turning out much better than I had anticipated, as after the late start and the first big girl dying, I was quite worried. Things are going pretty swimmingly now however.

Until next time :tiphat:

I like your training methods. Those sticks can be used for support too! Don't have a lot of time left for stretch, should start getting flowers by the 15th. Looking forward to seeing how they respond to the late training. Thanks for sharing rosettastoned! :smoke:

UPDATE

Finally got some pictures for you guys. Things are going pretty well, all things considered. We've been in a bit of a drought for the last few weeks, and when I brought a little water out a week or so ago, two of the main stems of the newer plants had bent from the training. They were quite alright, no wilting or anything, just a little thirsty, so I splinted them both. They have slowed in growth or anything now and are doing well.

Here is the Green Crack, nice and massive now, with tons of tops  Already has some resin on her! Definitely fully flowering now. She's a little cut off at the top in the picture, but she's taller than me, so it was difficult getting all of her in it.

And a few shots of her very early buds,

Continued...

Here's the 707, the biggest of the newer three plants, she was one of the ones that had the main stems bent, I think just due to dehydration after being trained over. The top seemed unaffected, and it took fine to splinting. Definitely starting to flower now, thankfully, as some of these later plants will take awhile to finish. Hope to get a few ounces on this one, maybe

This is what I believe is the NL x Big Bud auto, and it may have been beginning to flower when I had it inside, but when I put it outside, it vegged for awhile. This will definitely be the biggest auto I've grown yet. The main stem of her was also effected, but she's already grown above the splint enough to train her over a little. She'll probably be a mostly vertical plant however. Looks like she's starting to flower now.

And lastly the smallest plant in the new spot. I believe she is the Frisian Dew, and is the only one not really showing signs of flowering just yet, she may take awhile, but it could still be some nice smoke. The only one to not get a bent stem.

picture.php

So far so good for flowering, maybe have to feed them a little, but I should get a decent haul this year. Hopefully I'll get more regular pictures as flowering progresses, at least until I hit the trimming wall lol :tiphat: Thanks for stopping by my thread.
