Star crash pics show one rule for growing outdoors...

Find where the Goldenrod plants grow tall as an elephants eye.....

When I grew outdoors....in the fall I would look for big fat goldenrod plants......

Star .....looking good !!!!

it's interesting to note that in every case,in every manner the container plants are advanced in comparison to the plants in the ground....simple/plain observations show me that being pot-bound stimulated maturity??

Possibly. There may be other factors at play though. Are they in containers because you considered them the best, most advanced initially? Are they getting more sun? less nitrogen? Less moisture? Any or all or none of these may have contributed to your observations. One thing's for sure, they don't look like they were struggling. :)

If someone were to pose that question to me.... My answer would be that it has to do with competition from other plants..... their roots.....

In a container the plants dont have to worry about other plants eating their lunch..........

Compete for Nutrients
Weeds compete with flowers, grasses, vegetable and fruit plants for water, sunlight and nutrients leaving non-weed plants starving. This loss of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium leaves them weak and prone to insect and disease infestation. Because most weeds grow at such an astounding rate, they often absorb more of one nutrient than another, leaving an imbalance. This overwhelms other plants often causing abnormal color, flower and fruit growth.

i dunno if i agree about the whole roots competing with weeds thing. i know for a fact cannabis grows better when it can share its rootzone with other cannabis plants, and he is feeding them too. i understand the principal but i dunno if it really applies here.
just offering a contrasting opinion budly!

good morning growers!

I do a lot of regular gardening....fruit trees.... container gardening etc...

my comment draws from that experience......

I just provided something that should be considered.....

i set up some medium sized garbage cans(35 gallons) to act as reservoirs in strategic locations...this greatly ease's the burden of watering and feeding when that chore is due,but i still have to manually load them w/water & moving water around is very hard work,so plan is to keep them topped off when not doing something else... just got to stay on top of it..plants are looking good

A LOT of big name outdoor growers use cover crops which leads me to believe this is untrue. Just my .02
