That toad you showed didn't look non-toxic.. lol Gave me the heebie jeebies just looking at that ugly thing.
its worth noting that bagseeds are almost always females, due to the nature of how they come about. i think the best way to encourage females is to stock your grow area with plenty of good housekeeping magazines and non stick pans. if you starve the males, they will eventually leave your grow in search of sandwiches.
