Yea you need those in the ground! They will explode when they are planted. You think you may be wasting potential size and yield by waiting for them to show? We are still at peak light hours per day for the year, could be a while before you see anything

about 54 in containers...but only TWO confirmed females so far...i'm getting impatient...i need these ladies to show ASAP

I was wondering if I should do the samething ~star. Keep them in pots before putting in the ground, especially with my limited space but then I thought about it. It's going to take too long for sex to show and we'll be losing plenty of vegetative growth in all that time. It's a good while til fall. So I just put the best looking ones in the ground and hope for the best.

MMS no way I'd be grounding unsexed plants, how mature are you vegging plants?Lots of possibly unnecessary work if you do.Can't be too long know unless they are really immature.Good advice on the maturity level if you keep them in the same container for a period of time,I've heard that before a few times.I'm not sure if it's rootboundedness or just a static root environment but I'd wait a little longer.Get out that killer magnifying glass lol!My outdoor experience down here is limited due to theft and pests I should add,but I've had a few years

they will show...... some may have to go in the ground very soon though... i had to water twice today...it wasn’t even hot and they are sucking it up...same with the nutes...small pots means a lot of nutes and a lot of water

give me females

Wheelbarrow perhaps?

I used to have a 100L backpack I travelled with through Central America years ago, I used to fill that with gallon jugs and hike it in the bush, HEAVY AS FUCK though..

You could could go hard core next year and have a guy come out and drill a well, throw a pump on and you're set! A few grand at the start isnt bad for 100 7 foot plants.. say you're going to build an off grid cabin!

I do this often enough with something really nasty in the buckets that I can not spill on my legs (or else I stink forever), about 200 meters and I have to put them down. funny you said that....

The way my back feels today I would make it about 100 yards. That outside stuff is for the youngsters.

Plants are looking great Star.

since necessity is the mother of invention ....i'm always modifying my plans

i'm going to let the18oz cups harden off and then bring them directly to a patch & plant them in clusters of 3...this will increase my chances of females in any one single planting hole...i'll come back and have to cull

any thoughts or opinions????

the bigger plants will sit till they show

Have you hit your plants with superthrive? I've read on here kelp helps bring about females and that might explain my 8:2 female to male ratio with bagseed all these years. I always use superthrive which contains kelp, just had no idea it was helping me get more ladies. That might help improve your odds as well, heck it can't hurt.

Lol, back when I was 19 I went to a year long farm style rehab. We grew vegetables, raised pigs and sheep, made syrup. Lot's and lot's of carrying 5 gal. pails full of water.

We used to have contests of who could carry a 5 gal. pail in each hand the longest without setting it down. One other guy and myself made it about 1/4 mile before setting them down. Arms were on fire, and we still had about 3/4 of a mile to carry the buckets to the sugar shack.

You want a real test? See if you can pick up two 5 gal pails in each hand and walk any distance with them, lol. I made it about 40 yards. Another one we used to do, was see who could throw a bale of hay up and over the side of the hay wagon with one try. Counselor got pissed when I did it and he couldn't(he was 6' 220lb, I was 5'4" 150lbs) . "Oh so what are you one of those tough guys" . I said, nope just been doing hay every summer since I was 10.

We have a large family(knot) of toads that live on my property. I see big fat ones like that all the time in the yard. Then the little tiny babies the size of your pinky finger nail. Nature's pest control, along with the spiders like the one in your pic. I have a bunch of spiders in my indoor grow. I never kill them, cause even if it's only a little, they help. plus they aren't bothering me, so why kill them, right?

When I see a toad down here it's a dead motherfucker 9 out of 10 times. Some get as big as a coffee cup plate, and if they survive long enough they'll get as big as a dinnerplate.Bufo toads is the short name and they are notorious for killing people's dogs and cats.I never lost a dog to one,but have known more than one person that has.All a dog has to do is lick it's back, and you know that's gonna happen at least. They are too prevelant down here, you have to go through your backyard in the summertime at least once a week and commit mass toadslaughter, either that or possibly lose a family member. They're not even indigenous to this state, they were brought in for some kind of pest control I'm not sure which. It's sad though when you rush a dog to the emergency vets just to lose him after a short time.Critters from hell
