once you learn the techniques of blasting and the rules of safety, then this is a good unit to start preparing raw BHO with >>> https://www.bestvaluevacs.com/3-open-blast-extractors-180g-1lb.html

Yeah I have read up on safety and understand proper ventilation and no ignition source. I'm a chemical/stationary engineer so I'm familiar with chemical safety. I just never used BHO always liked not added chemicals to my hash. But I hear you can get 10 to 15% more by using BHO over ice extraction.
I was looking at the 1.5 pressure 1 with vac pump because I would only be doing a few zips at a time. The videos I've watched all say that you get a much more efficient pull with the Vac extraction cylinder.
I just don't know about spending 3 bills on it just for personnel use.

you get do get a longer soak time and slightly better with the vac'ed cylinder/spool , but the rinse thru method gives better quailty ... AG give it a shot ... the end product is awesome especially if it's just for personal use ... really good medicne for me & vacuuming is cool!

I will talk with the boys and see if they want to spend the $$.
I have another question. I know the vac oven removes everything and dries it into taffy/shatter, but I see wax/gooey stuff and crumble. I would guess thats just leaving it in pyrex no vac oven. The short dry time is gooey and the longer is crumble (right?)
Is all the BHO removed from it if it is still gooey?

MMS >>> i vac'ed two runs so far ...1st run in the chamber for 36 hours second run in the chamber for 48 hours ...this is a 45 gram taffy from the 2'nd run & it has terps and potency that can't be found in flower

you need a precise temperature control when vacuuming...you also need an even distribution of heat...i have niether of those & this is why the pro instruments are expensive... my gear totals less then $700 .... you could spend $70,000.00 if you want to

my next run i'll lower the temps on the hot plate to try for the sweet zone (this is my weak link currently ) while vac'ing

12 hours in the chamber this time w/ very low heat and i got what's called a "pull & snap" consistency ... it's a firmer taffy that you can handle at room temp) was a mixed batch of Firestorm & Gorilla Berry trim & wow is it good (i just sampled it)

Your concentrates look tasty bro. I'm working with a company that builds a mobile extration machine that can get the solvents down around -80 degrees for live resin runs.
