I bought the pair in 1992 from Leo’s pro audio in Oakland, California.. I think I paid at least $1000 bucks apiece for them… I had already been recording the Grateful Dead for 15 years prior to that and I wanted to upgrade all my gear including to dig audio recording decks set up (but in the end I liked my analog stuff) plus I was sick of seeing the Grateful Dead they sucked at the time… the Microphones survived but they weren’t really versatile in a concert setting you had to be exactly in the perfect spot or else it was boomyThe 414 is a really nice and versatile mic
It’s really amazing for up close recording of instruments and performers and vocals acoustic guitar etc. plus the Bass response is just over the topThat looks like an AKG C414 B-TL large diaphragm condenser transformerless mic from the '70s. That is worth some $s to the right buyer.
