I have had turtle soup made from snapping turtle was good soup tasted like chicken. If I remember correctly.
I used to hunt a lot and eat a lot of meat but I’ve lost my appetite for killing and eating animals. I will fish and I like to eat fish still.
But I mostly eat only chicken and eggs and some dairy products. Lots of fruit, vegetables, and beans.

My diet definitely leaves a lot of room for variety…if I wasn’t so desperate for calories. It wouldn’t be beef beef beef all the time it gets repetitive…. probably would be vegetarian if I wasn’t afraid of dwindling away to nothing( And actually knew how to prepare a proper meals)

I bought a can of turtle soup from the grocery store onetime it was disgusting.

Like you I eat less meat...2 days a week no meat and hardly ever eat meat at lunch, don't eat breakfast.

Lots of recipes on the net and some good videos on cooking. I like the videos for baking, it's nice to see the consistency of the dough and how long they mix for. Both very important in good baking.

I do the cooking and most baking for the 2 of us.

Lucky fellow to have a good cook in the home. Sounds like you feel fortunate for more than the cooking.

Cooking and timing, you can't be a good cook without understanding the timing of everything.

i learned to cook in self defense as a child. apparently, my brother and i were such PITAs that mom had to go into the hospital for a "rest" now and then. ( yellow valiums REALLY helped with this problem) if my dad was gonna fix hot dogs, chili, and pork n' beans, he wasn't gonna wash but one pot... when i bitched, dad said "what do you care if it's mixed, it all comes out the same place" to which i replied "does it have to look like that before i eat it though?"

Anyone who is considering doing fresh frozen don’t do it unless you have a back up generator because if the power goes out and that shit thaws out it goes bad ..it can’t Thaw and then refreeze. I found that out through the grapevine someone lost their entire crop of ff For just this very reason over the last couple days he lost power… I’m glad I let mine dry and didn’t do fresh frozen. It’s a lot more work yes even more work more volume that you have to deal with when you’re washing.

How Long did. you dry it? Because your hash and Rosin do have a very nice color!

thanks.The first batches got done after about 5 to 6 weeks maximum drying time for the plants .. They went from hang drying in a garage/barn then into large contractors bags ..scheduled for another run this week probably get a darker color the longer it oxidizes
