Today I got a fishtank Ph tester Kit.... Damn! Ph is between 8-8,5.
I am wondering how my healthy plant is still alive .
BTW, I found out that the water coming out of my Air Conditioner (external body) is in the perfect range 6,5-7 Ph. So I'll use this to water my plants.

yeah i'v been feeding them AC water for a while but mine comes around 7.0 so still i'll have to adjust it.

Red/Purple stems?

Red/Purple stems?

My rooted clones are really slow growing. The stems are red/purpleish, but are returning slowly to green. Is this usually phosperous def? If so does this mean I could step up my nute levels a bit to increase some phos.? Sorry no photo I have recently put my next clones into some small bubblers. I am keeping ppms @ 850-950 +- with grow type nutes. My water starts @ 275 so it is hard. Just seems like they are really draggin ass for some reason. Ph keeps climbing between top off too. If I leave it at 5.5 it will be 6.5 the next day. I'm starting to think the small amount(1Qt)of water in each bubbler causes the water to react that way. Still haven't figured that out yet...

if your avatar speaks about my avatar then u'r right lmao I don't have a machine gun at home, but i assure u i got guns & i'm not new to shooting either i'm more rookie on growing weed than these things lol.

Glad to be here 4 sure! Yes I'm new to the forumn but I was at another for quite a while pickin the brains of some really intelligent people. The forumn started making it where you couldn't delete picture that you post on there. So myself and a few others are lookin for a new place to call home. But myself I've grown outdoors a few times and once indoor with another round of clones coming along right now. Thats my prob. The lil buggers got red/almost purplish stems and seem to be in serious shock. That weedfarmer site didn't really have a diagnostics area that I could find. I'm thinking its phosperous def but wold like someone to say thats what it is before I start pouring on the phos. I am running these mini-bubblers right now for my clones but my moms are in soil. I intend on moving these clones to full size bubblers before too long as long as they start acting like they are growing. ttyl8r

Hmm my plant back at home also developed red/purple stems. Almost all of the leaf stems are reddish/purplish on the upper side and green on the lower side (meaning upper and lower side of the stem, not the plant). As for the main plant stem it has a few red/purple "veins" running alongside... I thought it is probably some badass strain... but alas, I saw this http://www.weedfarmer.com/cannabis/tables_guide.php , looks like I was so afraid not to overfert it, that I underferted it.
Otherwise the plant seems just fine, it's flowering now. Ill provide pictures soon.
Actially I fert it every week, but with lower dosages (afraid not to burn it).
As for my sick plant it is growing new leaves like crazy now, seems she'll make it, although pretty much delayed.

And here's a pic of the plant that I grow outside, shes looking good now and started flowering too.




Edit: Now that I've searched the forum, it appears that there really are some strains with red/purple stems. So if everything else on the plant seems fine, does it mean that the red/purple stems are due to the strain?

Thanks a bunch for the welcome. This seems like a real cool forumn. Yes, after my clones rooted they developed those red stems. I was kinda starting to think that might be the problem. I changed nutes last night and upped my phosperous. Of course no change yet but I'm sure it'll take a bit for things to turn around. Thanks for the comment and hope to show you something good once I get all this turned around. If these don't come around then I have a couple in dirt I'll flower out instead. I'm really giving this hydro shit a try. So far I ain't had a whole lotta luck. ttyl8r

I did notice that today the new growth is a very healthy looking green now as opposed to a dark green/shriveled appearance. And my minis used 3/4 cup of solution in two days. That tells me that the plant is really starting to uptake some fluids. Good sign! Sounds like the right track. I looked at that weedfarmer site again and saw where the red stems shows lack of NPK so what I did with my nute mix will definately increase everything accross the board and still be at or around 1000 ppm. Peace

Tnkx uh_what , thats my #3 only... got other 2 looking similar but i gotta buy a better camera coz it looks half of the trichs r shown in the pics .
Nway i am happy with them except those redstems on the upper part & those bulletproof fungus gnats lol i'v been spraying them with all kinds of stuff but i keep seeing them very few left tho but i hate them.

Here's my burned plant. Looking good now, many new leaves have sprouted. But I don't see any pistils (there were many before I burned it), I just hope that it doesn't hermie after this stress.

hey she looks better now, was she already flowering b4 burns?
i have a lil problem at the moment phosphorus deff, i fert them yesterday i mixed 2 ferts & it came a bit hard i think & today i noticed a little burns & the lower leaves were like drying from edges so flush them immediatly .
I tried mixing phostrogen 14-10-27 100% & a pinch of Miracle grow 24-8-16 I did it b4 & worked damn good but at the time i gave 50% strenght, now yesterday i gave them full strenght & today i saw the result lol.
best way to learn is by ****ups

Yep... the only way to learn is the hard way. Trial and error
My advice is, if you're sure that P def is the problem, to get a Phosphorous only solution. I also have been thinking about feeding all the elements separetely, but thought that it would take me too much time to prepare solutions. But it seems the only way to provide the plant with the exact portions of the elements it needs.
I've found such ferts in every agro-pharmacy (that's what these shops are called here), and they're cheap too, since it's up to you to make the mixing and dissolving.
As for the ferts that you're using, they're both low in P, so I dobt that they could help in this matter.

How does your P def look like? Is it the red stems?
Right now I am using 18-18-18-3 +micors fert, and still every new leaf develops a red stem... So I think it's due to the strain, and not a fert def. Well only time can tell that

As for my recovering plant, she wasn't yet flowring when she was burnt. I hope I haven't f****d her up, and she is yet to flower.

Anyway, good luck with your plants . I think this burn won't be much of a problem since you flushed the plant right away. I had a small burn on my other plant too, but the flush fixed everything.
