og kush is completely different tasting and looking to the sour diesel. i was only very recently introduced to the og kush, that is some very special smoke. a real pleasure to toke, the flavor in your mouth is pretty incredible, specially when you pass the joint on and can continue smacking your lips for the fine aftertaste. certainly a clone i'd love to get, lol. specially the above mentioned abusive cut of og kush, dang that is some good shit.

there is no way you could mix it up with the Sour-Diesel though, as that has its own very distinctive rhubarb or what's come to be known as diesel type taste. the cool thing is that anybody can get something close to a sour diesel with some of REZ's seeds, but the OG kush abusive cut is a clone only strain, just like the hindu kush i saw and smoked last 420. it was also an elite clone only strain, already 20 years old. another one i'd love to grow myself.

peace

thank you all

thank you all

bigupforyouselves and respect for all the comments.

H&L, i appreciate the support.

I have only smoked or even seen for that matter sour diesel so i cannot speak to og kush but i get a sour diesel from a grower in vt that is the best bud we see around where im at. the smell and taste are a sour skunky fruitiness that i in my career has never been matched. i have smoked my fair share of strains from the delivery service in nyc (jack herrer, pig, orange kush, most recently jack frost) and the diesel that my service has, although it is better than most, does not even compare to the sour diesel i get from vt.

i dont know if any one has delivery service experience but i would love any feedback on the subject

that was a mouthful

also, please put some pictures up of both sour diesel and the kush as i have never seen either one alive plant.

Thank you again.

I don't think there's really any point in me saying the same thing everyone else has said regarding OG Kush and SD sharing genetics, but I will take this moment to say "I told you so" about rappers not totally knowing their weed. Method Man seemed to be close if that was indeed what he said regarding OG and SD, but not right enough to have it quoted. Send (almost)any rapper to ICmag and he'll get schooled.

rappers are just normal people so they are like everyone on this site.. some might be experts some might be newbs.. just like how our site has doctors and lawyers same goes for rappers..
I think high paid rappers and drug dealers turned rappers know whats out there but they dumb it down for their audience (dro, purp, kush, haze, buddha, diesel, chronic) easier to rhyme and they could pay for the best equipment and genetics if they wanted it.. or they could just have someone in their crew who is paid to grow to supply the entourage..
Also do you ever notice that whatever name a rappers says becomes what people look for on the internet?

Chemdawg is the backbone in all of todays sickest strains like OG Kush, Bubba Kush, and Sour Diesel.

Of course, it might be the backbone to those great strains, but it's completely untrue to say that "chemdawg is the backbone in all of todays sickest strains". lol. :biglaugh:

Brad I saw some of the delivery service sd at a show this weekend and it was totally different than the sd i get. people can call it whatever. when i cracked my lid on my container in the show five people looked at me because they could smell it as soon as i cracked the lid. I only had about a gram. the sour diesel my buddy had wasn't even close.

Whats up Gaius...good to see ya around....

I agree about that Hindu Kush Reeferman shared at the last 420....definite winner in my book....I recall Reeferman saying something about it being in clone form for over 20 years...very guarded. I noticed similarities between the Hindu Kush we smoked and OG Kush that comes around here in CA....they absolutely shares some lineage.

The SD is clearly different not only in taste and smell, but in plant/flower structure.

Good point, this is very common, I've seen all types of "Sour Diesel" at clubs in the past 2 years ranging from $30-$75 an 8th and it varied WIDELY

i guess it's similar with the clubs like the coffee shops in that regard. they chose the names for the cannabis by the sellability and reputation of a given strain. that's one of the reasons you get confused by the names they some times use. on the other hand there are a few worthy phenos available in seed form so that can cause even more confusion. that's why i always make a point to specify sour diesel v3, when talking about my SD pheno.
