Sour Diesel=OG KUSH?????????????

I really think we should come up with another name for OG Kush. These name games are becoming very amusing/frustrating. It's like when George Carlin was doing one of his advertising bits, talking about chicken flavored dog treats. Guess what, no f-ing chicken. OG Kush, no f-ing Kush. It's time to come up with a name that states what it really is or just start calling it OG'ers and lose the Kush part forever.

I agree. Kush originates from the Hindu-Kush mountains in Afghanistan, not LA. It's pretty stupid to just call it Kush for no other reason than to make it sound better. If it's good shit, it shouldn't matter if it's called Kush or not. It's not Kush, why not call it something else. Even just OG, would be more fitting. You wouldn't call it OG Thai, right? Cause it's not from Thailand, and it's not from the Kush mountains.

It isn't an S1 of chemdawg.
It is supposed to be Old world Paki Kush thats in OG and Bubba.
To say that OG has no Kush in it.
Is one of the crazy statements I ever heard.
Smoke some and then say that. I grow it and it looks like Kush, tastes like Kush and IS a Kush hybrid.
It's probably (chemdawg x OWPaki Kush x (Lemon Thai x OWPaki Kush)
Stop spreading rumors as the truth people.
If you just read it.
State that, so people don't think you know what your talking about.

blind leadin the blind........the origins of OGKush has been told many times and with a slew of different origins. imagine whos story you want to believe would be correct.

Well, yes, I agree completely. People's tastes and personal preferences make comparisions like this totally subjective to that person. I'm a sativa type guy, so in my garden TrainWreck has a special spot. Doesn't mean it's better than all other meds, just means it is to me. And that's the person that counts.

Ya, thats why in my post I said it is supposed to be...

But I've never herd of a strain that tastes like Kush but doesn't have kush in it.
Do you see how crazy that sounds? lol
Anyway, just my opinion of course.
I love OG Kush.
But I grow several strains and I am always trying new clones and popping new seeds too.
I got a bunch of seed testers going right now.
Like chocolate Diesel and Herijuana.
Just popped a few Hunza seeds after reading that thread and looking it up on google.
What a trippy story Hunza has.
Anyway.
I've grown a bunch of kush hybrids from seed too.
But none compared to the original clones.
But there are alot I havn't tryed of course.

But, in all fairness, I got to admit that I pretty much don't know what I'm talking about. I haven't grown that many different kush's or smoked them all or anything. But I would love to see some sort of more accurate record-keeping instead of I heard this or I read that. I love the semi-sarcastic strain proposed ealier in this thread. Chili CheeseDog... Chemdawg x U.K. Cheese, but where do we get the Chili? ;-)

Just throwin some of my OPINIONS in here....cuz no one seems to know the truth, so don't flame the hell out of me.

First off, Sour Diesel != OG kush. I've grown both, smoked both...there exist similarities....but after growing both I'm even less willing to say that they are even related. And Bubba kush, wow...it's growth characteristics don't even come close to the Bubba's. The OG will stretch 3x it's height on ya, while the Bubba remains a tight, short and compact indica with club-like small stank dense nugs.

I've been speculation a lot on the actual origins of these strains...I've read EVERY thread on here relating to them and all chem dawgs posts about the origins.

OG kush may or may not be an actual Kush from the region....but I'm leaning towards it at least being a cross. I kinda agree with JDOG in this sense...The Bubba I'm growing right now screams KUSH. It's got all the characteristics of an authentic kush from what I've seen and smoked. As stupid as this sounds, after looking at pictures of tons and tons of strains my guess would be that Bubba Kush is something like ( Old World Paki Kush X BubbleGUM ). Don't laugh because I said Bubble Gum....go look at some Bubble Gum pics, take note of the leaf shape, color, and plant structure. Similarities exist in the smell as well. The old world paki kush looks almost dead on like the Bubba IMO. The OG seems to me like a kushy indica crossed with some tall lanky stretchy lemony sativa...( Chemdog X Lemon Thai ) or ( Chemdog X Thai X Paki kush ). Maybe that's why different "versions" can show a more lemon pinesol characteristic or a deep kushy characteristic. Just like the Bubba, there are higher yielding versions going around that probably lean towards the Bubble Gum side in the cross.

Again, these are my opinions from having grown all three strains. I am not stating anything about the ACTUAL origins of these strains...not spreading MORE misinformation.

I guess it makes a difference if I mention what I got is a S1. It was the best I could do. I was recently gifted the actual Sour Diesel so maybe I can do some out-crossing and back-crossing and see if lightning strikes twice.
