Sour 60 - 12 germ'd, 8 females, 4 males.

Tomorrow marks week 8 from popping out of soil.

I know they are pretty far from done, so which plants from the pictures below (1-8) should I feed? I have not fed any nutes as of yet, and the plants are turning very light green, and leaves are yellowing/dying very fast. I anticipate on feeding 1/4 strength Miracle Gro Bloom food.
Being this far into things, I am weary of doing so, but Think there is plenty of time for a 2 week flush plus feeding.

On to the plants:

Plants 4 and 7 are inside under 150w hps + 217w CFL (2700k).

Plant 4 is 17" tall from the soil, and has a wonderful Sour Grapefruit scent that I am falling in love with, and hope it sticks around.

Plant 7 is 18" tall, and has a VERY super sour citrus/fruity smell. This used to be a junk plant. The leaves are dying off super fast, and it looked better after a quick trim of dead leaves.

The 6 remaining plants have been outside in some tall grass for disguise. They blend wonderfully.

Plant 1 has a sour cream cheese smell, or a sour dairy scent. It is 22" from the soil.

Plant 2 gives a sour skunk aroma. It is very tall, at 26" from soil.

Plant 3 is very citrus oriented. Smells strongly of lemons.

Plant 5 is a very skunky smelling plant. Classic skunky pot smell, at 24" tall.

Plant 6 doesn't have much of a scent. By this point, everything I smell is sour, so scent is hard to judge. Smells very planty/earthy and sour.

Plant 8 - Scent - Plain ol' sour. It is stuck in my nose. 23".

It is obvious that these plants will need a few more weeks. The inside plants I will give another week, and check trichs then. I will not feed plants 4 or 7.

So from the pics) which plants (1,2,3,5,6,8 would you feed? All? None?

They need watering today. They look hungry.

Thanks, and sorry on being picture heavy!

Quick update on the fastest 2 plants: number 4 and 7.

Today/tomorrow marks day 60 for all plants. The trich's look about 90% cloudy, 5% clear and 5% amber. I am shooting for 15-20% amber. The pistils are just starting to turn brown, but are mainly white still. I am going to give these another few days, and check trich's again then.

Waiting for a smoke report on 4 and 7. I have a tub of sour 60 going and at 28 days they are over a foot tall. I like my indoor plants around 2 feet. The smoke is stellar. Very nice grow thread you have. I am learning more and more here concerning autos.

My appologies

My appologies

Hi all,

It is about time I put some closure to this thread. I am terribly sorry it did not happen sooner, but when life gets in the way my hobbies are set aside.

Now that everything is back on track, I have time to cruise the autoflower section once again.

Sour60 is a fantastic strain. I harvested between 9 and 10 weeks from seed. From the 8 plants, I totaled around 5 oz of heavy hitting, great smelling bud.

Unfortunately, I am not used to outdoor harvests in mid-late June. Heavy rainstorms caught me off guard late in flower, and a great amount of product was lost due to brown bud rot. These buds are super dense, and moisture holds easily. Mid June high humidity is tough to work around when drying as well.
What a shame.

I would certainly recommend this strain to anyone. Good work mdanzig.

Unfortunately, the seeds that I produced from this crop seem to be runts. Every single seed that I've grown out has only gone to about 4" and stopped. I am not sure what went wrong here. I was looking forward to future s60 grows.

Oh well. Now that I have free time again, I plan to hit up seedbay for another pack to try indoors.

Here are a few shots of 2oz. The sweet lemon lime citrus smell was fantastic, reminded me of Sprite or Sierra Mist. The grapefruit-like plants were my favorite though.

Again, sorry for the long delay. Things are back on track now, so I won't be such a stranger.

Thanks for all the help folks!

Cheers
HC15

Great thread! Glad I found it. I try to read all the S60 grows I can as that's my next project. What's up with your seeds you produced though?? I am definitely planning on making seeds and hope I don't run into the same problem or can figure it out.

Great grow though, enjoy those frosty treats!

Hey basspirate,
Glad you enjoyed the grow.

The stunting issue could just be from my seed starting mix, or water issues as well. This weekend I plan to start 5-10 more in different mediums, larger pot sizes, and different water sources just to find out what's wrong. Luckily, I have enough seeds to experiment like this.

However, I hope it is just one of the variables I mentioned above. There is a small chance that pollen from an non-AF Aurora Indica could be the father, but I sure hope not.

Thanks and good luck with S60! You won't be disappointed one bit.

The S60 has many different smells, and all of them are a different sour. Some have a citrus-like sour, very lime-like and a couple grapefruit-esque plants. The others had a sour dairy smell. Imagine sour cream left at room temperature.

As for the taste, phenomenal. Almost too strong/overpowering. Through the vaporizer, the tangy sourness stuck to the bags and whip far after use!

The stone was top notch as well. Quite heavy. Very dense buds.

Overall, s60 was a great experience. I let mine go a week past the 60 day mark.
I could have hoped for better yield, but to be honest, I neglected these plants far too often. As mentioned before, heavy June thunderstorms caught me off guard late in flower.

I would like to see what this plant can do with the proper care.
