SUBED' 4 SURE!! These Sour60's are getting a lot of attention....lovin' it! with the genetics these have I MUST ENTIRLY pollinate 1 of my bitches when that time comes< I want hundreds of these seeds!...here's a thought, I may just get one of those CS generators and make some CS to get "FEMALE POLLEN" to pollenate a diff. girl thus resulting in FEMALE SOUR60 SEEDS!!!!

that soil rocks, best kept secret in the dirt game. odd isnt it, miracle grow soil rips, shouldnt it suck. your plants look great, best of wishes.

Well the sour 60's are a little more sensitive to the nutrients in the MGMC soil. One plant is burnt to hell from the nutes. Another is experiencing terrible claw leaf due to N toxicity I believe. The 6 remaining females are doing pretty well. They all have a new home.

Here is the new setup. I understand 150w hps + 150w CFL is insufficient for 8 plants, but it will work.

id move the hps closer if theres a vent on the top for a fan id throw on a pc fan to pull the heat up and out and the twisty flrourescents would be more effective if they were positioned around the plants at an angle although the way it is the plants are looking great

Thanks folks. These are on day 33 from sprouting through the soil.

I would move the HPS closer, but then it wont really cover the 8 plants, only about 3.
Not sure if I should reposition the cfl's or not. Should I just keep them on the power strip and put it on the floor in between the plants?

yeah, that's what I was thinking...put the power strip on the floor...BTW, where did you get the individual sockets to plug into the strip??? I have about 6 blue 40w cfl's laying around...'m gonna get a couple of power strips and put em' on the floor too!

What light schedule do you have them on? I have them on 24/0 i was planning on turning them back to 20/4 after they hit the 2 week mark. Any recommendations?

For the first 4 weeks or so I had them on 24/0. I just switched to 18/6.

Chyna prefers 12/12. said he didnt see any difference in yield, and had denser buds. Maybe I will put them in 12/12 starting week 6 or 7

id luv to know if the 12/12 is still best with autos myself, very intersting. i have a hard time believe 24 hours is good though.

THE WAY U HAVE YOUR 150 FACING ISNT IDEAL, YOUR PLANTS LENGTH WISE WOULD GET MORE LIGHT IF U TURNED YOUR LIGHT THE OTHER WAY AS THE ENDS OF THE BULBS GIVE VERY LITTLE LITE OFF TOWARDS THEM AS U HAVE IT KNOW, I REALIZE YOUR CFLS COVER THAT BUT SO COULD YOUR HPS A LITTLE BETTER ALSO.. JUST A TIP,,. I HAVE TO DO THAT WITH MY RECENT 150 AND IT HELPED.

Well I watered the plants today, and took some photos as well. Today is week 5, day 35.

I need some advice on pollination. Lets start with some pictures first.

Here are plant 1 and 2. They seem pretty healthy. Plant 1 is lighter in color than 2.

Here are plants 3 and 4. Both are fairly healthy and plant 4 is the most sexually advanced females of them all, with more pistils and early bud formation than the rest.

Plant 5 and 6. 5 is the tallest of the batch

Now the ugly ducklings. 7 and 8. 7 has terrible toxicity problems. This morning I checked the plants and it was bent right over. The leaves are skinny and clawed, and it is just a mangy looking plant. Plant 8 has not been able to handle the MGMC soil since day one, and every leaf is severely burnt from the nutes in the soil. Ugly.

Now to the males.
The first 2 are the ones I am going to cut. One has the best smell of them all, and they both look very healthy, but are not very sexually advanced as compared to the two I want to keep.
Here are the 2 I am thinking of discarding.

Now the 2 males I am keeping for pollen. One is obviously very sexually advanced, with bananas all over the place. The other is just a strong plant that is pretty healthy, but has few nanners.

Now it is week 5. If I am going to make seeds, I need to NOW, and no later. I want to knock up one entire female to get atleast 100 seeds. Which female should I choose? I also want to have a good amount of bud to smoke from this as well.

I plan to take that one female and hit her up with pollen this weekend, and isolate her inside under CFLS.

Which female should I knock up?

okay, first of all, plant #1 needs some nitrogen....and IMHO I would use #4 because of the advanced flowering as you said...OR #5 because it's the tallest....

Sorry, misread that last one. So it takes 6 weeks for seeds to mature then? Maybe I should isolate plant 4 with the males right now then?
