But I wish I could make it to "Tdot guy" hahaha I'd like to meet a few people in here. Good luck med-man.

Yes Montreal is a close competitor.

Just so many French people.

Peace

hahahaha amen brother I know what you mean. I'm not originally from Montreal so i cant take that statement personally. You'll be surprised how little french people there are in some areas of the island.

Though I give respect to Toronto, one of the best strains I ever smoked in Canada i purchased there. That Sour Diesel was the real fucking deal. I never tasted or smelled anything like that before or since. I forget the price but it was very high way over the $200 id pay for an ounce of top shelf in MTL.

Cheers on the name btw, Sativa all the way

Im not in Canada atm im wondering if that purple kush fad is still going hard. Last time I was there in early 2013 it was everywhere in Montreal/Quebec people were going crazy for it but it wasn't really my thing. I'll take good old jack herer over that shit anyday, jack held me down solid for more than a decade.

organic doesn't come from a HPS or a MH... So wtf it matters....I don't understand.

I'm down for no-till beds n' shit as it's just watering...and I'm lazy...but unless your growing under the sun...I don't care what your growing in...your not organic.

Spit as much science at that as you want....you're wrong. :tiphat:

i dont even know how this turned into organic vs chem thread???

the op is hydro vs soil.

you can grow organic in hydro culture - and you can use chems in soil and soiless you trippers!

I dunno man...I think the introduction of things like manmade light vs natural...play a large part in being....well natural? Kinda like the chem/soil debate. Just nobody ever thinks about the light situation lol.

the best answer to the op is easy

there are ups and downs to each method.

hydro actually is more earth friendly. you use less nutes, material and long term labor. and under optimal conditions will get way more return for less physical work. i am a specialist in dirt to hydro conversions. dont make me show pics lol more crops per year of higher yields per cycle

dirt is almost guaranteed, and very forgiving. it will also yield less and be more work, material and maintainace. longer cycles, less yield per crop and less crops per year.

to get the best of both worlds, grow in coco or promix, with 50% organic and 50% chemical nutes. dial in your grow after a year, then decide where to go from there. this is what i tell everyone if they dont hire me for hands on hydro from day 1

Without a regular organic garden, soil and microbes will require a system like aquaponics to achieve what can be done in organic soil with hydroponic like growth, kinda like what med-man states, however without an organic system that consumes detritus there is always more waste from a hydroponic system. Bottles, rock wool, plastic and plant matter, where will this magically go Med-Man.

Please show what you have evidence wise Med-Man as I am intrigued, I can show you where your floored in that particular argument as you don't quite get the grasp of what is happening.

We use no nutes organically so your at a loss there, labour wise there is only planting and harvest with pure organics something that hydro can't compete with when we are growing up mountains and not in houses so hydroponics is very flawed in all-round aspects of functionality, also it cannot be practical to grow hydroponically without a decent water supply and a regular supply of nutriment from a supplier. 64 days is 64 days Med-Man what planet your on. We don't have to clean down in organics to get optimum harvests unlike like in hydro we can plant without fear of soil borne nasties and P&D, with the advantage of greater resistance from a symbiosis with the medium. So if your a 1 man operation you can plant a hectare of cannabis faster organically than you can ever hope to in a hydro system, every time, I'd love to see you prove otherwise. (I'll wait)

So with that said while your cleaning down that piss shitty little room that you call organic. Proper organic guys are growing out mountain sides for jokes.

Secondly, where did you study? Don't just assume you know it all, Soil more forgiving than hydro?? Are you serious Med-Man, are you an expert?, it is less forgiving than coco coir or hydro, because if you understand what is happening properly, (Which you don't) you'll understand that when growing in a peat based medium that is too wet and out of pH it causes more fear of damage to the plant that if it were hydroponically grown because in a hydroponic system plants can be flushed and pimped and pampered to stay in the Zone without fear of wet feet.

You clearly have no Idea about what it is you are doing Med-man and it is evident in the posts you make, you certainly shouldn't be allowed to teach people, your opinions are flawed many times over, 10 minutes talking to you and your going onto my ignore to save me tearing you ass as wide as I did Tom Hills.

Hydro will yield more than a peat based substrate that isn't being fed the hydroponic nutes Med-Man but not an organic system.

Your an expert in talking BS is all I see
