I'm not always in that camp. Very few things in life are 100%. (Maybe death and taxes).

All of humanity has told a lie at some point. Some make a habit of it. Though sometimes for different reasons.

We simply don't know what the cause or purpose of these things is yet. (*One set of videos and pics over Hawaii is stated to be relative to a Space-X satellite launch the other day).

And the conflicting reports from the fighter pilots and others don't help to decrease the skepticism, speculaton, and production of explanations that are often lacking in any real foundation.

That was my grandfathers favorite thing to say , "the only sure things in life are death and taxes". That brought me back

My friend saw a black cube hovering over his town months ago, mid Europe, broad daylight, that looked like two cubes rotating inside of each other. He couldn't explain what he saw. There is indeed over-the-Pole air travel, or at least used to be. In the later 1970s, Braniff Air was flying out of Anchorage and going into Brussels, and other European locations/destinations via that route. Stand-by rates for Anchorage to Belgium then were $99. I remember. Probably still have the clipped ad in my archives some place.

Edit: There's also flights out to Islands in the Bering Sea.

Probably not many in the winter .I guarantee the shootdown wasn't because of nonexistent flights offshore the north slope of Alaska .this last one flew through air traffic areas to get over lake Heron but they let it .they know something we don't. Stinks

I'm not altogether sure 'they' know that much right now.

As of last evening, the Canadians were still organizing and implementing retrieval of items from the 'crash' site in northern Yukon Territory

Retrieval of parts of the target shot down off the coast of Alaska is still under way, and much of it is reportedly submerged. Winter time seas, temps, etc..

Flights over the Pole back then went on during winter, just as charter and commercial flights continue over the Bering and the Alaska Peninsula in the winter time. The NW coastal villages fly in fuel oil and groceries after the sea ice is too prevalent to allow for barges to deliver.

Do I think my government keeps secrets, sometimes without real purpose or justification? Yes.

Do I think that every incident initially inspiring curiosity and poorly resolved questions involves psy-ops or lying? No.

Though CNN or someone profiting from the rampant inquisitiveness, has recenty gone back to airing testimony from some Air Force commander from the later 1950s or 1960s, and they seem to be looking at some sort of extraterrestrial explanation... whether for rating's purpose, or what ever.

If that's the case (aliens), shooting at them when/if they drop in for a cup of coffee might not be the best move. Might offend them. Not very neighborly of 'us', at the minimum.

My wager's on the local Utqiagvik youth radio-controlled airplane club and someone having built a series of over-sized craft.

Felt the same way about the last CH-47 pilot to violate the 500-ft. altitude requirement in my rural residential area. I could see the bastard's face!! He was THAT low!! Major noise issues and wind from those twin rotors and turbines.

Look into how many people made serious decisions about life during and after the airing of 'War of the Worlds', thinking it was real, and the worst was near.

I try to be more fact-based. Keeps the energy expenditures to a minimum when it's not yet necessary. At my age, energy is important... valuable, even.
