Crazy...those are all fed the same ratios. One formula start to finish. The difference is the strength and/or how many watering. For example the moms get 100% strength and more because of pot size. Babies are half strength and smaller pots

This is exactly what I am seeing. If something gets out of whack it's a special top dress or foliar, however everything is getting the same fertigation. Even in flower.

I make up for the N in veg with a top dress.

Also run a starter soil in anything under 1 gallon and a big veg plant mix in 5 gallons before transplants to beds. I separate my veg by plant size generally. Anything over 12-16" gets a big veg mix and nutrient rates, all under that get diluted nutrients and a less dense starter soil.

N is always under 100 in my res.

How about one of you with the post count makes a private group for some of us? It might be in the best interest for this group. Just a thought?

I agree and disagree... outdoor time is faster than indoor time, many studies to prove this., sunsets help as well which most don't simulate inside.

Your right, moonlight won't effect growth indoors but it will outside (effect a plants timing not so much growth), it speeds up the plants internal clock which effects many things.

I'm pretty sure on earth plants inside or outside are effected the same by gravity my friend :)

Exactly what drives this plants flowering response is vast, the above being just one.

Let me clarify. If you take the moonlight spectrum and ppfd and apply it to an indoor plant you don't see any appreciable changes.

They sap study was done on our door plants without an indoor control.

Hello Rodehazrd here with a simple question. Since starting to follow this thread I've read more and understood some I read a lot about what happens with the light present. This may be a simple thing to you experts but I want to know what is happening during the dark time and why do we need it during veg. Would a 24 hr veg time not be more efficient use of the time? Other than raising the electric budget is there any down side to constant growth? They grow some great product in Alaska and the dark time isn't much.:tiphat::thank you:

The plant breathes in, the plant breathes out. In is light > photosynthesis > sugar production. Out is greatly enhanced by lights out > sugar out the roots > feeds the microbes > break down minerals and chelate them. And lights on those minerals are taken up and the cycle repeats

So not important for hydro. Little bit important for slows method. Damn important for los.

Imo of course

LOS is microbe driven, Slow uses more water soluble or predigested nutrients...some dependence on microbes but not as much.

Guys same plants as pictured a while back using the soil shown in test. In that middle pic you see some cover crop growing between some habanero sprouts. I posted that to show that the mix is mellow enough to support pepper popping, even with the Zn@100+

All of the plants are in same mix. The plant on left is a Sin Mint Cookie (mostly indica), 5 gal fabric pot it stretched like crazy (SST) and looks like it might outgrow my space. The plants on right are both Kali Mist from Serious Seed. One is in a smaller pot but growing nicely the other has some twisty, curved and mottled leaves although it is very bushy and if it it stretches and fills out should be an excellent yielder. Ive grown this strain a few times in various mixes and never seen this response. It's possibly i might have accidentally whacked it with an under-diluted fulvic drench or could it just be an odd bean?

These plants are about 5 weeks from seed. SMC is going to 11/13 tomorrow.

Thanks for any observations.

Mix looks fairly good just looking at numbers without calculations. You need more P and your going to be in need of some more K. Nice work Herman!

I have been thinking about a pack of Sin Mints, Have you ran those before or this is the first?

Thanks.
Any thoughts on those twisty, mottled leaves? It appears to be growing out of it but im a little bit concerned about flipping while not 100%.

I have grown sin mint cookies a few times. The earliest fem release of this strain was my best. The next generation wasnt as good on my first try. But Sin City`s stuff is worth a second try. The vigor of their strains has been impressive. I had one smc 1st gen that was s huge yielder of A+ bud. Im looking for another in this 2nd release of smc.

I guess while we're at it

First one is both the girls
Second is one massive girl
Third is four girls in one 20 gallon.

Face Off OG x tres dog. No clue where it came from but it is for real fire. This one has a long way to go, but it is sticky and greasy as fuck

So did some field sampling the other day. I just wanted to point out something to the thread. We took samples of the A and the B horizons and sent them in separate. These samples are all on the same soil series and each was taken on a 4 sample site transect. Notice how everything for the most part (especially CEC) drops off in the B horizon. And the B horizon still had like 20-30% clays.

So real deal certified chem 4. This is the shame of commercial grows in Denver. This is the same age as the last one. That last one 9 weeks, this one 11, ain’t gonna happen.

But in the proper hands at 11 weeks straight up knocks your dick in the dirt. They will mix it with the white to get it down to 9 weeks...and water it the fuck down

Makes me a little sick I admit
