i also took off the rotten root when doing my DWC....
i just used water pressure to gently remove any weak or rotting roots....
this helps tremendously...gently rubbingt em sounds good too.
took em outside and sprayed em down...all the crappy roots came right off ..
then i used the higher pressure to loose all the rot...
once you kill the growth of the stuff...you really, REALLY have to rinse out OFF all the dead and dieing roots.

I think i do !!!! it's just bothering me that some of my plants are 2-3 feet away from the light. (they gota wait till bloom)Black Ra1n said:

I would ditch the plants with "bad" roots, and give a proper H2O2 treatment on the rest. That's one big problem with recirculating systems sharing a single reservoir: if one plant is sick, it's very easy to spread it to the rest and keep the rest of the plants in the system sick. Believe it or not, this will probably increase your yield than hurt it.
blazeoneup's previous system included switch-off valves per group of buckets, so that he could shut off the feed/drain lines and contain the diseases to one group of buckets. Read about how he handled root rot in this type of system. (This is an issue I ran into in the past as well.)

I didn't smell any rot when I was there...those roots are comin' back...I think you had the water level too low when I was there...BUT....I understand why you wanted to minimize volume...shut off valves work great....especially with different finish times....
Anything over 68F at any time is asking for trouble....risky....

I hope everything works out! I know how tricky it can be using pre-mixed organics, ESPECIALLY when it's hot out! Switching to GH (or some other non-organic nutrient) during the hot months might be a good idea for anyone who's system depends on pre-mixing nutrients.

The big ones are taking off ... it doesnt look like root rot just a bacteria growing on solid waiste sufficating the roots ... im guna get more oxegen to the roots (and set up some kind a filter) and just bud in 3 weeks.

LOL VT 3 x stretch is allot , i think my room with the ak's and Kali's stretchin in flower may get allitle big 2 1/2 more weeks till i flip :O, could be worse things though .
