Skunk #1 Mediumless Closet Grow

My observation of how much the scale love to devastate blueberry coincides perfectly with what you're saying. I think we can conclude this strain is a magnet for pests...not one to put on the "pest resistant" list, lol! :joint:

Went in yesterday to find a bulb burnt out! Doh! :yoinks:

In desperation I called my buddy the electrician. He went by his shop today and picked up two brand new Sylvania Lumalux Eco 400W bulbs. From what I've seen looking about these bulbs have a long life and put out more like 140 lumen per watt meaning 112,000 lumen total with two bulbs!

Talk about a hell of a save...I don't have to pay him back till I can get well and get working again. Totally saved my ass.

Yeah, totally kewl. One of my best buddies....I think he said at best they will run me about $16/ea. but could be as low as $3/ea?!?!? No doubt not hortilux bulbs but they're supposed to have 25% more life and better output. Great deal considering I had just some generic bulbs before anyway.

Kid's are looking great man...one note though.DP blueberry tends to throw nanners late into flower, but in my experience with it,the pollen is sterile,no seeds. But as a precaution I usually took them out with a pair of tweezers as soon as I saw them.

But from the looks of it,you can't even get in there,a problem I never mind having!I have some tangerine haze coming,I have to get the room set up soon. Are you hitting them up with Awesome Blossom too? That is some good stuff, makes 'em sticky as hell.

Keep on with the good work man,I'll be here.

Dimebag Yup, got super lucky on the light deal. That's a rarity for me to have something work out so easily. Sugar is the word for this one.... :smoke:

outame 2 I have heard of the nanner issue, but I'm not seeing any signs of it yet. The guy I got this clone from said he had one or two hermie, but not this pheno. Hope that means no trouble for me.

You're absolutely right. I can NOT get in there, lol. Hard as hell to get to the timer on the back wall at screen level when I need to switch it off. Pics are a major pain because it's almost impossible to get a good angle for a shot. Top down canopy shots are a hopeless cause, lol!

I am, in fact, using the awesome blossoms. I hit them every now and then with a little thrive alive if I feel like it, but usually start the AB after buds show and then give it a little more every feeding. Very good stuff!

Here's a couple pics from day 41 flower, today. Starting to put just a little weight on, but still expecting a 70 day finish at this point. :headbange

J-Roc Hey man! I am totally flattered by your comments! I can't believe someone would say such kind things about my grow. Maybe it's my struggles that make it more interesting than my successes? At this point I am just happy to have such frosty buds despite all the pest damage. Four years and growing and it seems this pest is my final hurdle to actually having a perfect healthy run. Thanks VERY much for the kind words. That means a LOT to me after beating myself up for so long! :bashhead: I am most humbled...thank you.

hey hey stoned, things are fattening up a bit there.
it really is a nice field of buds you got.
visions of cured blueberry dance in my head.

it's hard to believe that there are only two plants in that closet.
so can you get to your res under that scrog?
your grow makes me really really want to go hydro, but i just am too chicken and it would be a huge setup change.
maybe i need another closet

hey check out my can you roll thread below. :joint:

them bb babies you got should get muy fat in another 30 days.
i got some sweet warp that should come in about then.

mmm....those are some delicious looking Blueberries you have going there :yummy:

I see you get the "curl" on yours too. Seems BB is a very picky to feed plant, and always wondered if I was feeding mine too much N or if the "curl" is just a natural trait of the BB?

Incredible frost you got rockin on them babies :headbange :canabis: Looks like your Blueberry stash is going to be bountfull

Hats off to you my friend, you're doing a superb job :respect:

hazy What's happening bro? Yup...just TWO plants! BC Technaflora is known for it's massive growth in the hydro world, but it seems not many people use it. I don't know why either because it's EASY to use. I can get to the res if I crawl, lol! I just water them from the plant buckets though. It was originally set up with the res by the door, but that dang cooler made the closet too hot. My only solution was move it to the back and put the cooler in the water heater closet.

These suckers are drinking about 3 gallons of water a day between the two of them.

TML16 I do have the curl going on don't I? :smoke: You might be right that it's too much N. Being the lazy sucker that I am, I didn't switch to flower nutes right away like I KNOW I should, lol. Oh well...they're looking pretty good. Starting to fall over from the weight. These BB have VERY hollow stems I found after snapping one, lol! There is literally almost NOTHING inside the stems, they are just a shell?!?! I've never seen stems so hollow. I mean, usually they have a hole through the center, but these are just plain completely hollow. It's crazy.

Do you use a kelp product? Took me over a year to figure out I was burning plants with kelp...lol Not saying it's not N.....just dropping in and rambling bro....lookin' forward to the next picdate

Actually I do...I use thrive alive B1 through veg, but the curling shows up in flower. What I really need to do the next run is switch the res as soon as I switch to flower and see if that makes a difference. In order to figure it out exactly I'm going to have to run some without thrive alive and keep up the same pattern of changing the res a couple weeks into flower, if that does it, it's the thrive alive. If not, then I will try WITH the thrive alive, and change the res first day of flower. Hmm....

I appreciate the advice...gives me a good avenue to investigate. :headbange
