Ok, so I just got into an collision with a nice old lady. (I rear-ended her) The problem is that I had my thumb in my ass when i got out of the car AND I THINK SHE SAW IT!! What if she tells my insurance company, they'll laugh at me!!! Do you guys think i should just kill the old lady or the old lady and her cats too? (she could have told them and they might speak English) If she's gotta go I'll do it, i couldn't live if my insurance agent knew i drove around with my thumb in my butt...

Well, at least, when you paid the ticket you were in Key west. Fuck the frozen ass north, thats where im trying to make my escape from. Sounds like im just gonna be biting the bullet. Can i get a passport if i have a warrant, because i do have another unique travel opportunity present itself to me, a chance to go over seas. Could i skip town, and go to another country?

Well I'll tell ya what you want to hear. If you have no one you care about where you are at, take off. if you have no conscience or you can shelve it you'll probably be OKAY. I have known other ppl that have done it and after years with a possible felony conviction are doing just fine

Sounds like he will just have to learn the hard way. That warrant won't ever go away and eventually it will catch up to him. The worst is 4 years down the road once he has a good job, a hot girlfriend, own place, car, etc. and he gets pulled over and shows up in the computer 1600 miles from the issuing state. He spends two weeks in jail just waiting for the US Marshals to pick him up to take him to their closest holding facility for another week, before they stick him on the real Con Air and drop him off in a federal penitentiary somewhere for another few weeks before moving him to the next place. He eventually (1 to 2 months later?) ends up back in the issuing court's jail, held without bond until his trial in 6 months, etc. I hope his extra few months or years of freedom were worth it.

Oh yeah, all that time he spends being moved around doesnt count toward his sentence either. Its dead time. The point is that he needs to just man up and turn himself in. If it was a misdemeanor Id say dont sweat it but that felony warrant will follow him around forever and Murphy's Law is alive and well.

Florida your time starts when you are in custody...even if you get brought in at 11pm...the last hour counts as a day..My lawyer got my time counted.also some of the county jails will hold ya till 5 mins after midnight of the day of your release..remember they get paid per head per day..peace

That is true if you placed in custody immediately. If you are picked up on a warrant in another state the time generally doesnt count toward your sentence. It depends on some variables but generally it doesnt if the feds are moving you around.

On a lighter note my brother is about to get life, 3rd Felony actualy 4th but they plead one down to keep him from getting life last time. All charges are Drug related and he is in Texas. So when I here the talk of people running for petty ass shit I wonder who wipes thier ass for them.

Dont do the crime and then cry like a little bitch when its time to pay up.

Oh, the most important thing the fact that people ask questions here and not to a Lawyer says alot about why they got busted in the first place. Its called a Retainer everyone should have a lawyer on one.
