If you do what is required of you to satisify the court system. It will make you a better person by making you responible for your actions. It will give you a sense of being in control of your life by making positive, forward moving on with your life decisions. It's the sign of a mature individual not afraid to challenge your fears of the unknown. You will have a sense of knowing you can handle what ever challenges you in life and that you shape the world you are in. Only you can be responsible for your choices in your daily life, no one but you is held accountable for your position in the here and now. I commend you for asking for our advice here and I don't recall anyone in this thread that does not have the highest and best interests at heart for your well being. So again please take our advice and jump through the hoops of our judicial system and it will make you a stronger and more wise individual.

The reason they never looked for you or took it so serious before when you were on probation in multiple counties is because you were a juvenile. Now your an adult. If you run and they catch you, you will do at least a year for escape and be kept in shackles everytime they move you . You will have an escape jacket and live with it the whole time you are locked up. Just go do the 90 days and maybe come out acting like an adult ready to take resposibility for your actions . As kmarpa said "cause and effect"

OK window here's the deal.
30 years ago when I was full of piss and vinegar a passenger in my car wanted to stop for smokes at a 7/11. When he got back in the car with a secuurity camera in one hand and a pistol in the other I knew something was wrong. Didn't matter that he took full responsibility at my jury trial. I was sentenced to 12 years in the joint. My first offense.

In my 5 years of incarceration I met some of the most foul people that populate the face of the earth. I also met an incredible amount of stupid people. These two groups don't necessarily cross over. These two groups of people had basically the same conversations; Past criminal behavior and future planned endeavors. I watched people that had done years of time only to run off with only a few months left. They got outside custody and boom...ran off. You know where they found most of 'em. At their old stompin' grounds.

I had to ask myself a question, are these the type of people that I want to be like and hang with? NO

Since that time so long ago I applied myself and got educated. I have multiple academic degree's and yes, some call me doctor.
I spent over seven years teaching inmates, back at the SAME penitentary, how to perform basic life skills like the three R's. I had to stop when they wanted me to start pissin in a bottle for them, new regs for the volunteers.

You see, I know you. I've met thousands that sound and think with the same rational that you did with your initial responses to folks that were trying to guide your way. Fucking Stupid.

I have no tolerance for fools or stupidity.

I haven't had a job in 30 years because of what happened. I am a self made individual through paying my dues and hard work. I am quite successful in my profession and there is an inherant need for confidentiality because if some foud out about my past from thirty years ago I'm sure that my business would suffer. Someone mentioned the NCIC (National Crime Information Center). It has and will cast a shadow over me for the rest of my life, especially since 9/11. Right now it pisses me off because I can't go to the IC Cup in the 'DAM. I can't get into another country because of it, for life.

So if you want to fuck up the rest of your life, be my guest. If you think I'm just an old fart blowin' off steam, go fuck your self. I've eaten punks like you for breakfast and shit them out by lunch.

hey "smokindog"...I have a quick Q/ since you know about these things.

one of my buddies is going to be doing @ least 2 years @ Florence in Colorado.

he's been charged and convicted of cultivation, distribution, and felony possesion (he only had 15 plants, but thats how it works out I guess.

he's very polite, intelligent, and has been very cooperative w/ authorities...he's not a snitch though.

he's NEVER even had a speeding ticket, and NEVER been in trouble w/ the law, so he may get out earlier than that.

his concern is that he has dreadlocks, and he's caucasion (he's had dreads for over 15 years)...so he doesnt wanna cut them. do u know if they will force him to, or if he will get hassled much for his hair. he's not rastafarian, but he relates. I suggested to just cut them and not have the worries, but I have never been in the prison system myself....any advice for him?

thanx guys, it was all hypotheticals. I think the thing that really bothers me most about my ordeal, is that im gonna be stuck in this freezing polluted Hellhole for a much longer time than i planned to be. I was gonna move back to the south in July. My sentencing is in the middle of march, and even if i don't do time, which is possible, i'll still be on some hard probation for like 18 months. But whatever, ive never experienced real probation before. Ive never had more than a wrist slap and some fines. I guess this will build character.

my friend.. there is no such thing as "hard probation". "hard parole", sure, but "hard probation"... no way man.. walk in the park. DO NOT try to beat the system by smoking, just wait, it will be rewarding when you get let off. fly low, stay off radar, do not get involved in anything illegal that you can help staying out of.. avoid parties.. do not drink to excess..you will be fine man. speaking from experience..walk in the park.. you say you've never had more than a slap on the wrist.. if you've never been on probation, what do you consider a slap on the wrist? worst part about probation imo is the inconvenience of fines, reporting in, peeing.. you will get used to peeing.. just do the collared shirt yes sir no sir three bags full sir routine, but be real about it.. they can tell if you're acting.. you'll be okay...

Hmmm, Yukon...Florence is a Federal facility. It includes a "SuperMax" facility with many bad, bad people there - Islamic terrorists, Ted Kaczynski, Tim McVeigh before he got the needle, Woody Harrelson's dad, etc. There may be some lower security units also, but its all Federal. Hard to figure how a fifteen plant grower would wind up there.

Methinks something has been left unsaid here. My guess is that the distribution charge here is the key, and that there's more in play than a fifteen plant grow.

fuck the police . they wont etradite u back in any other state unless its a felony cause that means money. but when u come back to that state they will fuck u if u allready plead guilty. plead not guilty and get the fuck out of dodge till ur ready to take care of bussiness, after 7 years they cant charge you.but florida is the secnt chance state where all criminals run cause they wont extradite for felonys unless its serious like murder , manslaughter, or a lot of money involved

thats the problem.. first of all 1/2 the time if you're out of state they cant tell immediately what kind of warrant it is, jsut that its a warrant, and they WILL lock you up, and if they do so do NOT expect to go free cause they wont pay to extradite..

also, the problem is, its not a standard misdemeanor warrant at this point.. because he knows about it.. so theres a damn good chance it would escalate to felony flight warrant.. so.. its acrap shoot.. but hey its your life..

TROLL ALERT!!!!! please get some facts before you make your first post to this dude with serious contemplations going on! your advise is the most ridiculous i've read. look up 'conviction in absentia" and "felony fugitive warrants". and from what i know of florida...its one of the toughest on drug enforcment!!! may even be a "anti tolerance state"?? some people i tell ya :chin:

p.s ever hear of "con air"??..its a real division of the U.S MARSHAL that has a primary purpose of flying around the country picking up dudes from state to state and delivering their asses to/for state prosecutions/detentions as well as fed everyday of the year....even christmas!!

I guess I can elaborate a bit...but it wont change my OG question?

He is convicted of Illegal firearms (just not registered), felony distribution, felony possesion, and cultivation (not sure if felony or not on the cultivation).

Lived on the border line of a "school zone"...the narc he sold to lived 30 miles away, but the "school zone" was an issue too i guess....and the amt. sold was not very small.....more than 5 pounds.

he's been @ buena vista (SP?) and he is even un-sure why he is being moved.

his dreads arent a problem where he's at now, but some inmates tell him that he should be worried.

Thanks for elaborating Yukon. Folks are freaking right now; don't want to add to the fear factor. So yeah, sounds like a Federal beef.

Sorry I can't help with the original question.

Great news

Great news

i interviewed with my PO today for the first time. His recomendation to the judge is, 6 months reporting probation, 6 months non-reporting,(which means i can move back home) 30 hours community service, 600 fines. The good news, is, im not going to jail, the bad news is, i have to jump through all the probation hoops, drug testing, etc.

TAKE care of it...here's the scenario...YOU get pulled over 1000mi away...WARRANT...they hold you IN JAIL for QUITE some time untill your state decides to extradite you or not...THIS can and WILL take some time...oftentimes MANY...M A N Y weeks for them to decide. Most states put of an extradition "limit" say 500mi radius or 1000mi radius on minor stuff...larger stuff you're gonna go PERIOD. NOW rest of scenario....you sit in jail for 6 weeks waiting for the decision...BANG they extradite you....you sit in jail where you were charged for SEVERAL months waiting to see the judge(you DONT have the right for speedy ANYTHING on a warrant pickup)...THEN you see the judge...HE gives you 90 days in jail...and guess what...the 120 days you SPENT in jail doesnt count towards your sentence...seems like the "way to do it" to me.
Take what I'm saying ANYWAY you want...but it's the way it happens.
YOU got lucky...consider it a blessing and get er done!!!
