Thank you my friend- yes, it’s good timing... got some cured and some curing  and if the ganja gods are smiling I should have some fresh in time for Christmas

Relatives arriving shortly, I suppose I should put this joint out :tiphat:

Well, everyone’s gone home or to sleep, I’m full of roast chicken and all the trimmings and enjoying some triangle cheesedog x London church with a coffee.
It’s been a good day, got a few nice gifts and lots of time with my family... I definitely can’t complain, which is good for a cynical old fart like me
All the best good people :tiphat:

Pity you had to put out the joint for the relatives. (Ha Ha! That's another good reason for leaving the country. You'd never see the relatives again!)

Hospital just called, They’ve got to take little miss b in for a scan in a couple of weeks.., and because of the autism they have to give her a general anaesthetic so she will lie still.
I am absolutely shitting myself.
Every time I think of it I can feel the panic rising in my gut.

My old mum was right, rest her soul. From the minute they’re born, there’s someone who wants to prod them or separate them from you...
be it doctors , hospitals or schools.

Sorry for my rant, I’m feeling it right now v

Thank you for the support guys- dealing with it a bit better today, we showed her a kids video explaining about what would happen when she has the scan (thank you YouTube) and she’s ok with it.

They said she’s only allowed one person in with her during, and she’s chosen me... so I’d best pull myself together!

Thanks again for the kind words, they really do mean a lot :tiphat:

Getting cold early this year... not amazingly cold but chillier than normal, usually it’s windy wet n mild in November. Might have to look into a low cost heater ... shed probably lets too many draughts in for it to be effective though, so maybe just an extra thick jacket instead!

Had to visit the doctors today, I have what I’m assuming may be kidney pains ... got blood tests and ultrasound coming now - hope they can sort me out, I’m having to take codeine to take the edge off the pain and i don’t like taking them.

Christmas fast approaching.... again.... these years seem to be speeding up, and no fucker showed me where the brakes are ....

Hospital just called..
Little miss b has to have her first injection and they’ve got an appointment for her tomorrow, nothing like short notice to focus the brain.
On top of her autism, she’s starting to go into puberty... and at 5 years old, that’s clearly too early. They say if it’s left, her bones will stop growing so it has to have the brakes put on a little.
Poor little mite. I got to explain it to her in a minute.

She had her first injection.. brave girl for the most part, but she screamed her little heart out when she saw the needle- “I’m scared to have shots”, she shouted (she says some words and phrases with a little American accent- so cute, a result of her autism so we have been told)

All fed and sleeping now, and I’m chilling out here with a nice joint and coffee listening to the owls nearby... sounds like just one tonight, keeps going “whoo” so it must be a boy looking for a lady owl to spend the cold nights with.
Good evening to all :tiphat:

I'm a grown adult and am terrified of needles and medical procedures. Luckily for me I get to have some outpatient surgery next week on my jaw from an old injury. Not a big fan of painkillers either, they make me itch and feel like I'm on speed. Hats off to your little girl for being able to go through all of that. :tiphat: I was a total monster when I was little (probably still am) about medical/dental stuff. That's just too adorable about her using the American accent.

On the topic of owls I've been seeing and hearing many more the past several years than I can remember in the times past. Heard a lone Eastern screech doing its trills and whinnies tonight while walking the dog. Those are the most common in urban areas and are a small owl, I'd say close to the size of a dove. We also have Great Horned owls with deep haunting hoots, and Barred owls with their distinct and amusing "who cooks for you!" calls. Really just are amazing birds. Dead silent when they fly too.

Thanks mate, she’s taken it well so far- just on the lookout for side effects now.
It’s nice out in the dark, listening sometimes... the owls this time of year, the foxes screaming in the summer, the geese early autumn- nice to screen out the other man made sounds sometimes.
