Ms. Hawaiian (a non-smoker, it's worth noting ) and I agreed I'd shut it down after this run, for a couple reasons.. We've always got company around the holidays, and she's concerned about a potential stinkfest, .. More importantly [to her, I think], she's having her bridal shower, which will take place about 4 feet from the garden.

Looks like I'll be firin'er up 'round the end of February or so - the minute I get back from the honeymoon.

(Shit! Maybe I can even finagle it to fire back up after the bridal shower)

But don't fret! I was gifted a slew of beans a while ago, so I'll use the downtime to start sifting thru 'em, finding females, keepers, etc..

Just had a whole big long reply erased because, well, it ain't my fault.

Thanks nameless! Once I got all legal-beagle, I explained to her that growing herb, within the confines of the law, has been a dream of mine. The fact that I have an honest passion for it made it a little easier when the tone was "I'm not asking you for permission. I'm telling you what I'm going to do."

She was a little nervous about my smoking at first. Now, though, she understands that while I'm a stoner, I'm not A Stoner.

Also did a couple years in the clink for some herb-stuff back in '02, and that skews her perception also. But now, I'm blessed by the state and in like Flynn!

Actually, we're polar opposites on the buzz level. Took her to Vegas after we'd been dating for about 6 months (two days after a kickboxing fight - best. release. evar.), .. While there, it occurred to me that this chick didn't have more than 3 drinks a day, let alone in one sitting. I, on the other hand, took a flask with me when we hit the road, and would do my damndest to have a 3' margarita in my hand while walking the streets.

Anyway - 'nuff about my love fest!

The veg will be kickin' still, for sure. I've got some other non-tweed stuff goin' too - dill, basil (which rooted in 4 days, courtesy of the aerocloner! ), some flowers, .. I think the fact that it's not a ZOMGWEED GOTTA GROW thing helps too - she knows I'm a nerd and absolutely love gardening.

Oh - honeymoon, right? Looking at Costa Rica or Aruba so far. I told her, it's a good thing she's part Mexican, 'cause pretty white girls don't come back from Aruba

Ok, y'all. I need some help. I'm gonna go read, but dammit, help a Hawaiian out here, if ya can.

I'm planning on doing changing out the rez for the Headband (currently at day 53 I think), and refill it with pH'd water/flush solution..

When is the time? .. FWIW, I took the HB at day 64 in orgy dirt last time. I felt like it could've stood to go a smidgen longer - calyxes didn't seem entirely swollen..

Purple Mr. Nice @ 32..?! Holy shit. Did not realize she was that young. But that's what post #35 of this thread tells me. That's why I love these grow diaries.

The Headband looks to be swelling for sure, making her final push.. I'm thinking another 5-10 days. Just changed her water today to pH'd water w/ only a flushing gimmick (Sledgehammer/FF)..

The Purple Mr. Nice, I'll say for the umpteenth time here, is a real oddball. I'm happy to learn she's only 32 days in, but she doesn't really seem to stack up to nice colas. Instead, you get this Crush-esque-looking "all bud" stalk.

But seriously, it's just golfball-sized and -density nugs all the way down. No real cola..

Those are looking really good man. I keep wandering when my headband is going to start doing something. It's the slowest to flower out of the bunch I have going for sure. Did yours really pop off after a certain day?

Thanks! I'm beginning to chomp at the bit, .. For the HB, at least. The other dirty gals (switched on the same day) will be a bit behind - 10 days or so after I take the HB, I'm figgerin'. The Hindu Kush is the only one that seems to be visually finishing up. She's starting to yellow, but the calyxes definitely aren't swollen full-on yet..

The HB seemed to really fatten up at the start of the 7th week

I like 10 days at a min.. But 2 will work with drip clean...lookin shiney Bro...

Thanks pal! I changed out water to only pH'd + flush last night. We'll see! She's really swellin', pistils a'changin', .. She's still lush and green, not yellowin' yet, which is always the sort of "final" sign I wait for..
