Day 15 Flower

The tip burn on the newest growth seems to be stable and not worsening. I'm keeping the res between 1.1 and 1.2 EC. I'm still letting the pH drift between 5.6 and 6.0 trying to discourage lockouts.

Last res change, I noticed the flexible airstone and air tubing were slimey and the roots were darkening (possible nute staining?). After some research and advice from Aerohead, I've decided to run a sterile res from here on out. Bleach gets added every 4-5 days at 0.5 ml/gal. I may switch to 35% H2O2 once my DO meter is working and I can prove there's a benefit of using H2O2 for supersaturation of oxygen. Bleach is a whole lot cheaper sanitizer than peroxide, but if the added O2 is a benefit...

plant looks fine dude. your using GH flower and micro right? the Micro will stain the roots light brown if i recall correctly. i used it a long time ago to add the trace minerals to my ionic one part. The slime might have been a light algae build up or some form of beni accumulation. i wouldn't say rot is anywhere close. your res will start smelling funky and the roots will have brown slime. but you know what for the sake of everyone involved. add the bleach. that will ensure that shit is dead good bad or indifferent. canopy looks nice and even man. im impressed.

i seem to have lost something that i think you can help me find it....im looking for this crazy citral plant stuffed in a small box with this big ass scrog screen on it and plenty of light. last time i saw it it was destroying flowering and about to get really really big..... have you seen this plant and op. if so is there anyway for me to see it again.???

Howdy tokers,
Today is day 20 of flower. The stretch is finally slowing and the buds are forming. I see about 20 tops in the screen. No more training from here on out.
Temps have been wonderful, never exceeding 76 with lights on and dropping to 66 when the lights go off. My res hovers between 64 and 66. EC is still in the 1100-1200uS range. She seems to balk at anything over 1200uS. She's drinking about a quart a day and I'm still topping up the res every 2-3 days.

Last time I grew citral from seed it went 60 days from 12/12 and probably could have gone longer for a more couch lock high. The smoke is euphoric and racey (lack of ambers). Smells like a fruity tea in the jar, and has a smooth, somewhat hashy flavor. This pheno is the purple one and it stretched a lot more than the green one. Both taste about the same, though.

Hippydan is correct. The cfls can be moved up or down and can get as high as the hps cool tube. I still have about 4" of vertical movement in the cfls till I'm maxed out. I should have plenty of room considering how much training I've done.

Flower Pic. I assume the tip discolartion is nute burn. Could this be the start of a deficiency?

BOMB! just awesome man. they are nice and green now. minor burn is nothing to worry about! im working on my update today with a little something thrown in for scale.... aroma is awesome. i cant get it off my hands.

tip burn is from that over dose before hand. it never goes away. look a the very new growth at the top of the plant to gauge overall health now.

tuck the temp probe down in the canopy. It's black, so it will absorb radiant (IR) heat or some shit like that. This will cause inaccurate temp reading.

I gotta go hydro. I may have missed an update and can't believe the buds are already past set. Great work, Sgt. Looks like you got the timing perfect.

Last week, I thought the trellis would be a bit less than full. Then your root pics proved it won't matter, the buds will come regardless. Not that the screen is full it's just too good.

I like the way it appears to be not overloaded with fans. Looks like the circulation will be optimum. I bet the larger hydro growers love this setup. Soilers too.
