huge pieces of steel must be cut apart to move them. i've seen no pix of the wreckage on site before demolition has begun. you cut them on an angle for the same reason you cut trees like that, so you know which way it will go.

Rust is easy to make. Just leave a spool of cheap steel fence wire in a 5 gallon bucket with water. It will turn red and that red is Iron Oxide.
