At least you opened a can of worms while you were waiting for the electrician 😁It looks wild in your house but it's definitely worth it.

As for living together in the world, everyone can start by buying organic fairtrade products. I would like to see even more transparency in this area, especially with higher-priced products.
More and more people are slowly realising, especially as a result of globalisation, how closely our fates are interlinked and that it is better to work together rather than against each other.
Also as far as nature is concerned. The arrogance of the West is increasingly giving way to common sense among the masses.
This is also urgently needed.
Anyone who has been out in the sun for a few hours at the height of summer and rests in the shade of a tree will realise that the tree not only provides shade, but that it is also 2-4° cooler. This is why more and more people are campaigning for the protection and reforestation of forests.
According to the WWF's Living Planet Report 2022, we have seen a decline in animal populations of around 69% in vertebrates (mammals, birds, fish, amphibians and reptiles) since 1970.

It is one thing when people cut down trees out of necessity to gain arable land. It is another thing when a corporate leader with a degree from Cambridge, Oxford or another elite university destroys large areas of nature out of pure profit gear and does not understand that he is destroying the basis of his own life, or at least the lives of his children and grandchildren.
I call that an embarrassing success. These people often have massive physical problems at the age of 50 and are so focussed on their career that they don't have a stable family and have lost real friendships. Of course, it's not always the case, but I've seen it more often in my environment. Fortunately, there are also people who are very successful because they make a positive difference for many people.
