we will have to wait on some grow reports and pictures .remember when jack herrier came out that a littel pheno called c99 was discovered and bread.and many more like cinnomon girl.ect so i would like to see and read more before spending that much $ on seedes i still would like to get my hands on some jack herrer seedes.the only seeds i have bought frome sensi is ther northern lights which i have yet to grow and thay wher $ 130 for a pack.
Rosy Cheeks LMAo that is too funny...anyhoo, Ed is one of the reason why I started to grow in the first place, his books are still gold...

It's named in honour of Ed, there's no claim that he bred it. It seems extortionate but it does sound damn good. indica like bud formation with runnig sativa tendency, and pineapple punch taste. Sounds too good to be true.

Dronkers and Rosenthal know eachother since way back, so this is probably a buddy thing. I don't really care that much, I simply thought that this new strain could sell just as well on Sensi's reputation only.
If the superbud appears as centerfold girl in the next Big Book of Buds volume with a tremendous write-up, I might personally take it with a pinch of salt though.

Well I suspect that Ed would not have wanted his name, not to mention a long line of hype, associated with the Superbud, if he did not feel it had the potential of living up to it hype.

I got a pack too. Usually, I end up keeping 1 out of 6-8 varieties I buy, pretty sad, but the clone-onlys are so good, and cannot be dispensed with... Space is always at a premium, as you all know.
I believe, like some others, that Ed would not want his name on bunk buds... Although it is suspect that NONE showed up at the Cup '06... At least available to the common consumer... I thought it was to be the entry......
But, let us not begrudge a man for wanting some funds, unless it is ALL advertising, and turns out to be no biggie. I do not think this will happen, but it might. Although I believe that Sensi Seeds is a bit behind NorCal in terms of their seed strains compared to our Clone-onlys, I do not think Ed necessarily is...
There has got to be something good in that seed pack.
Might have to call it "Edie Gourmet," though... Or Mister Ed....
With all due respect, Mr. Rosenthal's grow manuals online, kept me company as I was waiting months for the time I could go "indoors." And it paid off. Most of my "greenthumb/good luck" is easily attributed to the info gleaned from Ed and Mel's manuals. And later Jorge's...
I can only express thanks for the courage to put oneself out there for the sake of others.

A 20 year back room project from Sensi,..With the original genetics being passed by Ed...Ya count me in! Just for conversations sake I would just like to put a thought out on the table. Going back to when The Bros. Grimm found there prized seeds in a sack of Sensi Jack Herer,...mystery dad ...could it be maybe some of that ersb project pollen escaped early?! What else in Sensis offerings has a taste of pineapple punch?, a taste that is found in both cindy and genius. Plus ERSB is claiming to be a plant of both Indica and sativa tendencies,..

That's not the point of my critique though.
The point is, Ed has built himself a name through the years as a grow guru, a guy that has relentlessly worked for the cause and taught a lot of people how to grow pot. The kind of stature that guys like Ed Rosenthal and Jorge Cervantes (among others) enjoy is primarily based on know-how and integrity. He knows a lot of stuff, but he's also independent.
If someone asks Ed a question about a certain product in Cannabis Culture's Ask Ed column, hopefully Ed will say exactly what he thinks about it based on his evaluation of its qualities. But if Ed is tied up by a contract with the manufacturer of the product, what is Ed going to say? Is he going to say that it stinks, if it really stinks? Of course not, Ed is going to say that the product rocks.
That's why I was disappointed when Ed signed up for Advanced Nutrients, and all of a sudden AN was the biggest thing since sliced bread in Ed's grow columns, and according to him AN nutrients really grow better weed than any of the other nutrients. If he would have said that without being on AN's payroll it would perhaps have meant something, now it doesn't. Some of his credibility is lost.
Ed is also editor of the Big Book of Buds volumes, where he maps out the universe of different strains and tells us what he thinks about them, once again based on his experience and expertise.
But now, Ed is on Sensi Seeds payroll, so in the next volume of BBoB, what's he going to say about the Super Bud? Does it matter, since we know it's going to be nothing short of rave reviews?

AN products are good, and difficult to obtain, sometimes, because of the product line being more "Plant-species-specific," if you know what I mean, and growshops are not keen to sell such products. It gives them away, as if it matters..LOL
If his endorsements, etc., got previously unavailable organic nutes in the EU, well that is a big deal, as many products we use in the North Amerika are not available easily in Holland/EU.

The point isn't whether Advanced Nutrients products are any good or not, the point is that money talks. I do not believe that Ed has paved the way for AN in Europe. They set up a European branch (AN Europe) in order to conquer a new market, like any other business that wishes to expand would. European growers already knew about and used AN way before that though, simply from reading the grow sites and importing it directly. I was nagging on my growshop pimp years ago to take in AN products, through direct import from Canada.
Today, you can get ANE products in just about any European growshop (that wishes to sell it). Canna products on the other hand were long kept off the shelves in some European countries. In France, Canna was initially forbidden, because of the "plant specific" nature of its products, and because the word "Canna" appeared everywhere. Finally, the retarded idiots that imposed the ban realized that they were breaking the law by imposing illegal censorship, and the ban had to go.
