When did old Ed become a professional breeder, or did he just lend his image to the strain?

Maybe he could give Celine Dion a hand in the lab developing her new perfume... or perhaps he's too busy pimping for Advanced Nutrients products.

The same way George Foreman sells grills.

Also..is it just me, or are these major "cannabis cup" players in the seed game extremely and suspiciously vague about their seed lines as far as lineage goes? Granted, someone on icmag has the lineage, but it just seems like all they want to tell you is "This is Black domina...it's the shit" as opposed to what went into making her.

What the fuck is that supposed to mean? Congratulations, but you just names 4 of the best suppliers of cannabis on the pot market(and the source of well over 100 strains available today).

I haven't smoked it or grown it, but I'll be willing to bet my harvest, as well as my paycheck for the next 10 years that this strain won't hold a candle to the strains available by some of the breeders who actually frequent icmag.

Well I dont know about everyone else, but I think this strain might be one of the best sensi seeds offerings ever. And potentially one of the best strains available at the moment. I am very excited! Sensi Seeds dont charge 140 Euros unless this was one of their absolute best strains. I personally expect this one to be way up there.

Yep quite agree, got 15 seedlings so far ( 100% ) germination. Doiing a side by side test of these with a mate whose also got 15 seedlings. Me organic under a 1000watt HPS. Mate under the same amount of light but hydro.
Pics will follow when we start up a thread. Oh they cost 70 euro's a pack from Sensi at the cup.
So so far so good, they like the flouro's and pretty soon things should get interesting.
Sensi is yet to let me down. Yeah expensive but you get great genetics and very stable one's at that. Always 100% germination results with them. Also you end up with good smoke.

I couldn't care less if he's gay, straight or metrosexual, and you're right Motaco, Ed has done a lot for the community. He's an honorable man, and in a sense I understand him. He signs up with the leaders in the Cannabis industry, they get his trademark, he gets their cash.
But the Cannabis community is anti-conformist by nature, so marketing sceems of this kind might actually back-fire.
If the Super Bud is what it claims it is, it will pretty much sell itself I think.

On another note, that's some NICE looking mother's finest Raco. How's the smell/taste on that one. Looks like one of the Sativa phenos I got rid of. Kept a real nice indica pheno with the most intoxicating/exotic skunky/incence smell.

And yields very well.65-70 days from cuttings.Sativa dom.

Dam I have been seeing great mothers finest plants around, I’ll have to pop the 5 seeds i was gifted awhile ago. I think ED is a little weird, i went to one of his speeches once and I don't know if his radical views helps out the movement, he actually alienated the audience when he was speaking and may have helped the anti-cannabis people there more, I’m sure he had a good goal but sometimes people should not relate there personal views attached to there views on cannabis when those views are slightly funk.

Thanks for the info bro, yup just like the sativa dom girls I had.
They were quite the yielders too, whereas the lil' indica girl I kept is definately below average. But it's all about personal preferance. I did like the sativa doms alot, but I'm a true indica boy at heart LOL.

Oh, and slips, get those MF in the dirt dude, ya won't be disappointed.

Neither Ed nor Sensi claim Ed is a breeder. If you read Sensi's description it states that Ed gave a bunch of seeds to a breeder/grower who selected for yield and potency or whatever. Then the resulting offspring (after 5 years or something) were given to Sensi who worked on the lines over many generations, etc. So Ed's involvement, while essential, was not in a breeding capacity. Give Ed a break man, he is all-right that guy. Whats wrong with being successful?

I did read it, that's why I wrote what I wrote. I don't think I was too hard on Ed, and I did call him honorable.
But think about it. Ed handed over a few seeds. Was it his seeds, or just seeds from plants he liked, and in what way does that connect him to the strain that Sensi Seeds' breeders have developed, other than that he sold them the right to use his name?
The point is; if you're trying to sell a car with a half-naked blonde on the hood, you won't score points for classy marketing.
But if any way of making money is a good way, then I suppose that this one is too.

I agree with you that attaching Ed's name has a lot to do with marketing, but I really dont have a problem with it myself. Why shouldn't they use Ed's name?
