Greetings and warm thanks for the reply. Oil hey? sounds yummy. I was thinking of dry sift hash as you separate for seeds. I find it a great bonus to seed sifting ! Yes I have Ethiopian about to finish up and then there are a couple of freebies I had a G13 Labs Blue OG which is very close too. Lovely aromas ! Also in the freebies was a delicious seeds Northern Lights Auto Blue. not far behind her is a Original Skunk #1 fem from Seedsman as I had not had her in over 20 years. I thought the NL and the SK would be a walk down memory lane of recent classics. Also they balance out the grow with the sativa nicely as the harvest are earlier it frees up tent space to rotate a couple crosses. Having said that I then found Ace and placed a big seed order as the memory lane I was lookign for was clear and abundantly in their catalog. So with the summer ahead I am trying a zamaldelica and testing a Thai Chiang Mai X KaliChina both are fem and indoors in coco as I have limited space her to grow compared to my farming outdoors for many many years. II am now very familiar with my tent and set up and am achieving good results so am trying these seeds this time and am already loving the results even of the seedlings. Good genes and good vibes and great customer service grow support via Ace Seeds and Dubi. Plus all the decent growers on here that lend support and strength it is very nice to behold.
So I also had to run a couple of Summer Autos so chose the Cannabiogen Auto CBG , would have gone with Ace's new auto had I known .
Then I had been viewing the other seeds I have and the varieties and thought that the standard violeta freebies could get a place in the tent . So I germed one Violeta reg, so we may get a male, if so I will stud him. Separated this time as I want to observe the plants take a full cycle in my tent before breeding but having said that what will be will be... If Violeta is female then she goes into flower tent with the others in 3 or 4 weeks time. I Keep updating my posts and albums.
Happy growing !!!
Wow you're certainly going after your nostalgia fix and keeping well busy by the sounds of things. We seem to have a pretty similar taste in strains so I can't wait to see what you do with all those awesome genetics both inside and out. It sounds like it'll be a hell of a show indeed.

My stacking app expired today and won't let me pirate it so these might be the last half decent pics I post for a while. bluberry/thai x malawi

I'll still be able to take great pics but you can see in the first pic what happens when i forget to retake just the first few shots in a short stack so it's going to be crazy hard getting all those trichs in focus. So instead of wishing me luck give me a strain/pheno to shoot because I need practice not prayers and I'm open to requests to get away from the bb/thai x malawis lol

Man oh man! All these horridly gleaming extraterrestrial tentacles give me the creeps...a Jam perhaps...

Entirely irrelevant but I've never sussed out what "wait for the next Kuweit" in a Massive Attack tune might mean...

Well I'm confused but it sounded like you love trichs and I got the stacker cracked until 2025 so here's some super silver haze bud porn.

Thanks for the kind words guys

So it's week ten of flowering and the girls look shit as the calcium lockout doesn't want to quit. Some like the Malawi are suffering way worse than others for which I'm pumping the calmag supplement into them which is definitely helping but the girls are all disfigured for life now. I thought about hiding the damage by picking the dying leaves off but since they're more likely to get worse than they are to make a full recovery that would have just sped up their demise so enjoy some brutal honesty and then some trich shots to make up for it.

Thanks guys :D

Tonight I broke a big fat malawi cola while getting the girls out for a drink. There was no saving it which sucks but it marks the start of harvest season because I've also just flushed the fastest bb/thai x malawi and every week from now should see at least one plant getting flushed too though it'll be interesting to see how long the thais and a couple of the zamaldelica's want to take it.

The coco issues hit the cuttings I recently took too so I've had to buy rockwool cubes to replace them. It's set me back a little but the girls are taking a little longer than I expected so the delay has kinda worked out for the best really. The next round should be a doozie too. No girls allowed :D

Hi seeded,

Your flowering tent is a jungle! :) Amazing all the different strains and plants you are growing in such reduced space.

I went through the whole thread and enjoyed a lot reading your inputs and watching your videos and pics. I agree with you regarding the Malawi hybrids: it's quite easy to produce vigorous, high yielding and powerful Malawi hybrids, but it's not so easy to breed outstanding Malawi hybrids with refined terpenes. Based on my experience, it's a matter of trial and error, even when working with parental plants that you have been working with for years like it's the case with our Old Malawi Killer. For example, we tried an Old Malawi Killer x Taskenti (uzbeki indica) hybrid which turned out quite boring in the high and terpene department, hermie prone too. While the same Old Malawi Killer crossed with the right PCK parental plant produced one of our best sativa/indica hybrids we have ever produced, with almost all the desirable traits you can think of. You never know until you try it. The same for the Malawi x sativa hybrids, it took me years of testing different thai/malawi combinations until reach the desirable Thai/Malawi mix that is nowadays Golden Tiger. We also had to go through intense selections until find the really outstanding Zamaldelica parental plants from the first generation with the quality of effects and terpenes i was looking for. So don't be dissapointed if some of your homegrown hybrids don't produce the desired outcome. To make errors and to take wrong breeding decisions is part of the learning curve, and despite the bad decisions you will get unvaluable experience and you will be closer to the success.

Your (Blueberry/Double Thai) x Malawi hybrid looks indeed quite succesful and with desirable and balanced traits from each strain, that huge trichomes can easily be found in Malawi hybrids, hopefully the terpenes, potency and effect are close to what you are looking for.

It's a pleasure to see the Double Thai still being grown! Not sure if you have the chance, but a reduced 11/13 flowering photoperiod will help to boost her flowering.

The chunky Zamaldelica is a more Malawi pheno, while the slow and long flowering one is a very zamal/thai pheno, with a similar reaction to flowering like the double thai.

Best wishes for the upcoming weeks of flowering! ;)

Thanks for the kind words dubi and it's always a numbers game which is why I cram as much as I possibly can in. For now while my goal is replication I'm putting as many strains as I can in but later when I'm focusing on my own work I'll be going 1-2 lines at a time and pushing their numbers as hard as I can. It's not going to be much fun acting like a hardcore eugenicist especially when I'm stress testing the mothers but it'll be worth it in the end as I'm sure you know.

I've reduced the flowering down to 11 hours a while back which has helped a bit but I'm happy to take them as up to 24 weeks which I'm sure a few of them will happily try to take me up on even with the reduced hours. Some of the double thai are still stretching and the slowest zamaldelica has only just started calming down itself at 11 weeks into flowering. Speaking of which thanks for confirming my suspicions about the zamaldelicas I have. The very zamal/thai pheno girl #6 has always caught my eye as being a special plant as it's stems were very sticky in vege and it has taken nearly three months to begin flowering which is very promising for a strain with a rep for laying people down and making them shit the bed lol

Anyways a wall of text deserves a wall of pics so without further ado here's some bb/thai x malawi.
