Thanks guys and I'm glad you all enjoyed the pics especially of the zamal/thai leaning zamaldelica. I've got a few more of them in the tent, two of which are absolutely massive and right near the zipper now so I'll be sure to take pics of them more often. In the meantime though I got bored and sacrificed a bud a few days early for some pics which unfortunately fell on the carpet as I was setting things up losing a few trichs in the process. Oh well I'm sure you'll still enjoy the progression of purpling from a small line starting at the base of the flower that steadily creeps up it and the trichs and eventually taking over completely. I know I did.

Hi Seeded you are lucky to get that Thai Zamaldelica pheno I have been trying to get that one again, best stuff I have had in the Zamaldelica phenos I only have a little left and its for special days magic trippy flights great buds.

The very first hybrid I intend on making from the new batch of males is using the double thai male on the zamal/thai pheno of zamaldelica. I'll be harvesting them in early 2018 though I won't be able to run them for many months or maybe even a year or more later depending on how things go so I'd be happy to throw a handful your way for some pics of their progress. No hps bullshit though lol

I am sure I would not be the only one if I say thats a very interesting cross and def heading in the right direction.
I will not be starting a grow until the end of August so watching yours is a good substitute.
Any Ace with sativa genes is a winner those guys know their stuff. I only use CMH these days ha ha.

I don't know how you can stop growing. I'm not me unless I've got at least one plant on the go and would use any time where a crop wasn't needed to breed and/or pheno hunt plants for the times when I need to build my supply back up.

While my main focus for breeding is replication and then inbreeding for stability there's a few hybrids I can't help but want to make along the way. Cannabiogen's Durban to Ace's Malawi comes to mind for a double african and since I'll be able to use both strains for either parent I'll be able to make the hybrid both ways and see which way it works best. I'll be doing the same with every other hybrid I make too but given my limited space there's no way I'll be able to grow them all out before the seed dies off so testers that are willing to put in the time and effort to grow and document crazy sativas would be a godsend and doubly so if they've got beautiful cmh lighting instead of hps filth

Now now there's nothing wrong with HPS thats why i dont use it ha ha. I have 2 Swazi x Mulanji growing outside on my balcony trained to grow like a creeper so the neighbors cant see them, or so I thought.
When I came home today they were on their roof working on something. I dont think they could see them from that distance but i am shitting myself now in case they could.
I cant grow inside because I am spending this winter fishing on and off in the warmer north of our state.
I go back up 3rd week of June for 4 weeks, hopefully the 4 Mulanji I planted in the bush up there haven't been eaten by goats or kangaroos. So you see i am trying in a half arsed sought of way.
Luckily we can grow over winter the plants just dont get bigger than a meter high if they are sativas but the buds are still fat.
My next grow is Panama x Honduras, Angola x Ethiopia, Ghana and Panama x Purple Haze.
So I can wait it will be awesome I love the Panama and those African crosses have me salivating as well.
I just dont know what I will do with all the cobs I will make I am still chewing my way through cobs I made 4 years ago ha ha
The world is full of good genetics these days and kind people who share them with you.
Its impossible to keep up unless you have a farm or can grow legally.

I wouldn't worry about the neighbors too much. Most people won't even call the police when they hear a domestic and when it comes to drugs the same is true even if it involves meth or heroin because they don't want it to become their problem too. The older, get off my lawn hippy, generation have a few rare exceptions amongst them but even then if you're hiding them and keeping the rest of your property in shape most are inclined to turn a blind eye to a couple of plants as everyone should be the king of their own castle. There are exceptions though and people do gossip so getting ripped or raided is always a possibility but honestly I wouldn't worry about it so much now as what is done is done and you're not in a cell or had the plants ripped so each day that passes without change increases your odds of it staying that way.

Those are some lovely strains you have growing and coming up too. I'm particularly keen to see the Ghana and Panama x Honduras and any pics you can take of those mulanji you put out bush if they're still there. I hope they've turned into monsters making your cob storage problems infinitely worse :D

To get the diary back on track a little I've got to report that quite a few buds have gotten a bit sooky about supporting their own weight since flushing them and fallen over. I'm doing what I can to prop them back up but once they lean on a neighbor and go I can do that? they never hold up their own weight again. It's a nice problem to have but one that I'm not used to dealing with on this scale as I usually train the hell out of my plants. They got away from me this time though and while I knew it was coming I had to wait until payday to order in the ton of garden stakes in I needed for the girls so it's going to get a little worse before it gets better as I wait for them to arrive. In the meantime this is how things are looking with the last one being a malawi approximately 10 days out from harvest taking on the one of the larger zamal/thai phenos of zamaldelica. Both plants will have done 12 weeks of flowering tomorrow.

That'll be the last group pic update I put up for a couple of weeks as it's pretty terrible seeing them all hurting but especially the handful of plants in there really uglying it up with their sooking. Most of those are actually the ssh x malawi I made and I doubt they'll last the fortnight at this rate so I'll stake the rest up, deal with the uggos and the document the decent ones as they come down. Speaking of which if you look on the far left side of the first pic you can see one of the bb/thai x malawi just about faded enough to harvest. It's coming down this weekend and I've got the fat malawi from the last picture and it's much frostier sister coming down about a week later along with the two other bb/thai x malawis too. After that it's exciting times as all the real sativas start rolling in which is only going to get better as time goes on with the males coming in shortly after the girls too. Like I said exciting time so stay tuned :woohoo:

Thanks DWD and on the subject of harvesting I took down five plants last night, all three blueberry/thai x malawi and the two fastest malawi's. I took a bunch of really terrible pictures along the way as I was trying to rush things but I managed to get a few decent ones too

The first two are a malawi, the rest bb/thai x malawi

I kind of expected them fade more with ten days of no nutes but it's all pretty much getting cobbed so it's not really an issue this round. Anyways on to some better pics...

That's it for now but I've staked the remaining plants up and started feeding them again so I'll resume my weekly updates on Friday and I promise it's going to be a doozey.

Have a specific request? Pick a strain and say something like frostiest or fast, medium, slow for a pheno and I'll deliver something real photogenic :tiphat:

Double Thai
Durban
Erdpurt
Malawi
Super Silver Haze x Malawi
Zamaldelica

I've also got a couple of boys in the vege tent struting around like they own the place with Erdpurt up front and easiest to get to if that's more your thing

Thanks but unfortunately I've got to limit it to one or two requests per person otherwise I'd literally spend days taking and editing pics. I'm in a good mood though so whatever you want to see most from a specific pheno of a strain to challenging me to the biggest and clearest trichome I can shoot, I'm happy to try to deliver whatever's requested.

1-2 max though. It's like one of those sliding puzzles in there at the best of times and they really stink now so I don't want to keep them out of the tent too long
