...are you saying i should just have one big exhaust taking the heat from the lights and AC and removing it to the floor above or outside?

No, I’m not. Light exhaust should be independent of ac's heat exhaust. If you plug both the ac and the inline fan for the ac's exhaust into a digital temp controller, they'll cycle together. I would think this would be what you'd want to do.

And bbs, for the record: I do not have experience with a sealed room. I too am looking into it as an option. So I am on a big learning curve myself. But there are plenty of folks around here who know what is what. If you don’t need to rush it, then don’t. Take some time to look around. Read. Read. And read a bit more. I’m still reading...

Not sure how budget your trying to go but I would summarize the above posts by saying spend the extra and get the 12,000 btu window AC, stay away from portable as that will be money your going to have to spend again, trust me... If at all, in any way , if you intend to do this for more than a year, buy a mini split.

For lights I would seriously avoid air cooled shades, and look more at higher efficiency light such as DE bulbs, CMH and maybe try to use less watts if AC cost is an issue.

Also the sealed room do requir co2 so that is also an expense...

If cost is a concern maybe skip the sealed idea as I doubles expense on commercial builds and even more on this scale. Spend the extra on a single DE fixture and filter and learn a bit more about AC and Co2. It can be twice as productive but can easily fail costing a lot of time ,money and frustration...

Good luck!

good advice rykus. thanks. i am taking my time im in no rush just trying to get hold of what i could do. maybe i post some picks of what my grow look like now and keep learning.

What a marvelous 4 dimensional grow room.

I came to say something useful but got distracted, baked and it's no use trying to think now.

so im thinking about combining the carbon filter output and hood output together with a Y duct and exhaust it into the garage... something like the diagram above.

is this a possibility?
think its a good idea?

Looking good ! How is great white shark to grow/smoke?
It will restrict your flow in half and may hamper with keeping temps in check but it could be done.
Do you have a fireplace? A private yard? Any other way to vent the hot humid scrubbed air?
With the air cooled lights I would blow that into the garage or your house in the winter

OG Tree Grower - the great white. im still learning how it grows, pretty squat hardly a stretch in flowering, i have seen solid flowers, smokes nice a winter green after taste, at least thats what i taste...

Nice looking stuff!

Private yard, vent out a window, install a dryer duct and vent out of that, I know some ppl vent into Attics basements ect but you don't want mold growing in your house anywhere so outside is always best.
