LOL...part of his question is about soil and I can help with that. This is a hydro thread. From what I remember the SC issue has already been covered in this thread way back. Think Osirica tried it and was not keen on it so no need to rehash things here. For another thing when you use SC in hydro you use it as an addition to your normal fert regiment and it does not replace anything really...just catalyzes and augments a typical NPK type program.

Do you use the GH 'Flora' Bloom or the GH 'Floranova' Bloom? What ppm? And do you combine these and then brew them(like a tea) or just stir and feed?

Also, you've used the Thalassa mix in the past with success...any particular reason you switched?

I'm setting up to do a grow in 8 gallon Air Pots with coco. Might use the Tropf-Blumat auto water system...have you used it? I might just hand water.

I'll be using a tea brewed with 1500 ppm Thalassa mix and his Genesis Compound. Brewed for 24 hrs in a vortex brewer.

I have not decided what to do about npk yet....it would be nice if the above recipe was enough but I know it's not. I'll probably just add some high phos bat guano to the tea...but that stuff foams like crazy in a brewer, maybe it can be mixed in at the last moment just before feeding.

I'll also use the sonic bloom as a foliar from veg through week 3 or 4 of flower...it is 1.7 - 0.07 - 0.7 (NPK) I use it along with the sound generating unit. I foliar feed with a fogger with a average droplet size of 20 micron. This, i feel, will address the Nitrogen problems sometimes encountered with Seaponics.

Also, if you have not already, please look into Viktor Schauberger...his work on water is very compelling. My place is on a mountain spring and I harvest this spring water with a magnetic vortex trap to further concentrate the ormus...this is the only water the plants get. This alone substantially improves everything.

The best sea solids for plants are imo Celtic sea salt aka sel gris de Guerande (84% NaCl + 16% minerals & trace elements) and Okinawa sea salt aka Shima Masu (73% NaCl + 27% minerals & trace elements)

My recipe is per gallon h2o in coco, blumats, & 1gal airpots:
1/4tsp moist Salt
10ml PBPG or PBPSB
3ml CalMg
1ml silica
1ml of Willards Water XXX.
1/2tsp molasses
1oz morning urine

I've been thinking of upping my salt around peak flowering and may experiment soon.

Señor Chang No thanks at all, but this is not entirely true, what is said in your link about grey sea salt.This would damage the taste, but the area where the salt is harvested has a lot of small canals and the bottom where the water ends is made up of clay which purifies the toxins from the water.

Most Sea Salt is less than desirable, especially Grey Sea Salt as many times the grey color comes from petroleum contaminates from the English Channel which was up on the shores of Brittany France, where Grey Sea Salt is harvested.

great thread osirica, bigup !! nearly read every post!! alot of very usefull info in here!! will be making my own ormus from himalya & sea salt 50/50, think that will work good. With the knowledge of water having a memory effect / beeing programable & music beeing beneficial to plants, i think together with Ormus the sky is the limit... i will be making a grow report very soon.. thx

I 'm not blaming you for their claim, that's what companies do nowadays.SunFire is not available at my place but bought some Okinawa sea salt, although more expensive than Sel de Gris.

I used yellow bottles sea minerals my last run.

Its supposedly sea minerals with the Sodium chloride removed.

What makes it different from thalassa etc is that it is super concentrated and extremely cost effective. Cheaper than actual sea salt even, depending on your salt source (Dr Maynards gets expensive quick)

Its $50 for a gallon and you only use 1ml per gal of nutrient solution to get the same ppms of minerals as you would in say 750ppms of sea salt

and im getting the same great results =)

I know this is a bit old, but I was curious if one can use Dead Sea salts for this? I've got loads of it around, and made a bunch of ORMUS from it and crap is it kicking my seedlings into gear fast. I soak the seeds in ORMUS water for 24 hours and then put 'em in their plugs. Incredible to say the least. I add ORMUS water to my rez once in veg and twice in flower, but want the other minerals, not just the trans-dimensional metal elements. So figured I'd check here to see if anyone had used Dead Sea salts for adding minerals to their grows. Thanks!

Dead Sea Salt is high in Magnesium & Bromide, but much lower in sodium chloride.Try it with 2 plants and see what happens.
