Thanks Ghosty  Well, I did what I was going to do and it's done and I'm exhausted :faint: The TWx's have started showing roots too. It never stops!

Also, that rooting thing I linked to was lame now that I read it, lol. But interesting.

Here's a close up of my moon calendar. It's huge so I put it on photobucket so you can read it. Sorry the dial turned a bit so that doesn't help understand it.

The netpot/pool filter thing works a lot better at air pruning. I don't have pics yet but what I've done with the PK is put it in the 3 gallon smart pot, then sat it in a tub which has about 2" of perlite in the bottom. When I suck out the runoff, I'm thinking if I stop when the runoff level gets to the top of the perlite, it would be the same effect as a hempy, no? Maybe? Otherwise I'll just suck it all out and it will still have nice moist perlite to sink into.

Anyways, I was trippin' a little because I felt 3 gallons may not be enough for PK, but the extra perlite level makes me feel better. I'm going to have to flip very soon I think.

Looking really good scrubs.

Thanks for the moon calendar, I'll collect the data myself the next couple of months. The way the data was stored only sale was = success. Meaning waste% can appear higher than it really was.

Have a nice day mate.

Cool and thank you. It would be interesting to see what sort of success rates a place like that gets. Also, did anybody notice the roots appeared on both strains of cuts on the same day..... THE FIRST DAY OF THE FERTILE PERIOD! :faint:

Hehe, irrefutable proof! :)

^ You can just make out the perlite layer. Here's some stuff I got chillin' on the shelf:
DSCF4589.JPG

I think give it 3 or 4 more days and assess flipping the lights then. On that rear shelf I'm thinking I'll run the Leda Uno (got a smaller spare one in case it's a male), and clone#1 of the chunky indica style bud TWxPD, and a PK cut which I will hit with colloidal silver so I can have PK seeds and (TWxPD)xPK seeds. Could end up a disaster but you never know until you try eh?

How many grams would I get off one of my tiny clones if I flowered in say, a week? It would be in a half gallon pot with coco and I'll probably run 220w. 10 to 15 grams?

Peace and stay high. :rasta:

HI all thanks for looking in!

Cheese, yeah I have to do scrog to keep it strictly in shape - I lost a lot of yield the last times due to the fan. And this is round #3 already :)

Disco, thanks buddy. :tiphat:

Xm, it's basically the workings of a hempy, I decided. I'm calling it a hempy offshoot. What will happen is I'll drill a hole in the front side of the tub just below perlite level, and stick a hose in it for drainage when I top water. So underneath will be a passive hydro sort of system. The roots should go straight through the smart pot. In the early days, I will also remove all the water under the drainage level, so it's just moist perlite, using a turkey baster.

Apparently once the roots hit the reservoir there is a significant explosion in growth

BEHOLD!

Should work?

Also here are the 6 clones that have showed roots so far:

I have to make some sort of watering and drainage system for the rear shelf because I can't really take a huge flowering PK out while I'm working on them. Anyhoos

I like the idea, thought about that before myself. Should make watering/draining much easier. Nice job on the clones, they look perfect.

Hey scrub I do that with seedlings minus the drain and with gravel. It's called a humidity tray.

Eventually the worms poop so much it must be sorta like hempy.

What I wanted to say is that I keep the water level lower than the gravel level, and usually just water the gravel.

Thanks Disco, yes they're the best clones I've had. Most of them didn't do anything except look good and throw roots out eventually. Near trouble free unlike the past few complete failures.

Mad, cool man yeah, the drain should keep it below the perlite level but I dunno how much it will wick.

It's kickin' ass, bro! I just got the final lineup potted up and watered in and placed in the cab and got the full 220w in. Temps are a bit high still so I have to run the fans on 12v which I don't really like. There is no real fan breeze on the far base so I should fix that. It really sucks having to take the scrog out to get in there, but on the other hand, scroggin' is a breeze with pl-l and a slide out tray. Seriously, very nice. 5 star recommended :tiphat:

lol @ "BEHOLD!"

yeah it will wick if it's coco. i m pretty impressed w/ coco's advantages over peat

Yeah mate I'm using the regs of coco, red label CocoTek, straight. I break up the brick with a screwdriver, place fragments into a smart pot, and flush/expand with warm water in the shower for 10 minutes until most of the brown runoff is gone. Then I give it a good watering in with nutes & h2o2 when I use it and even more brown runoff comes out. The runoff from the PK was like blood when I sucked it out of the perlite last night!

The smart pot is a must for bricked coco users who flush in the shower/bath (can clog drains otherwise)

Canna coco is the best you can get imo and considering I'm so micro here, I'll be investing in a bag of that next. No flush needed at all.

One day I will write up a tutorial of how I do the whole thing because people do some weird shit with coco that is pointless. The whole great thing about it is that it's so easy and forgiving, but if you read the coco forum, you'd think you need a phd before you can even put a plant in it.

*grumble grumble* sorry for the rant but it's true :tiphat:

I love coco.

Scrub I don't know a lot about coco or canna coco what can you tell me about it. You mentioned it comes in bricks and bags. How is it used, with soil or hydro? I'm very curious about it. All that I see in the stores is Miracle Grow Moisture Control potting mix with coco fiber in it. Can you enlighten me brother. :tiphat:
