Scrub's PLL Coco Cupboard and Friends

I checked those ebay listings but what I am after is the type of reflector I found shown either here or on another forum where it had multiple bends in it to reflect the light around the tubes.

My crappy Openoffice Drawing :artist: version is shown in the attachment, the light rays are not correct to the incidence of angle for the reflection but it gives you the idea.

If you know where to get that type of reflector let me know.
We can continue this in your fluro efficiency thread if you want.

Oh F@CK NO! lmao. That shit's confusing enough already, haha. You guys are a tough crowd to convince, but I'll get there. I take breaks from replying regularly because it does my head in.

Anyway, to answer your question mate - as far as I'm aware you would have to get those reflectors from AH Supply, and deal with their shipping, if they even send here.

The other answer is make your own because there is the "no uv reflectivity" issue with those (they use Miro material, see link). Bunnings sells reflector material, or plenty of DIY options + Edge of table + your hand + 50 cent protractor = job done.

In case you've not read it, it's essential - PLL Reflector Shapes.

Well done Scrubs, you found the thread by D.I.trY I was thinking of which had the picture I tried to replicate:

flat.JPG

And an even better version with measurements:

flat1.JPG

Though I wonder if my version would be even better? :chin:

And Hydro-Soil has a suggestion for reflective material:
BTW, ran across something called "GORE™ DRP® Diffuse Reflector" and it's supposedly the most reflective substance on earth to date. Expanded PTFE that doesn't yellow or break down under UV exposure. Supposedly ok up to 280C as well, so definitely a great light material. :)

I'm looking for a source to get sheets of it. Cover my reflector surfaces when I'm done.

And another version of the reflector by bakelite a bit like mine:

Well, I hope my plant's aren't pollinated, somehow! If they are, well, I guess that will teach me something! Hah. Thanks for the help, all! I'll let everyone know how it goes. I've searched the plants for a hermie flower, and I didn't see any, by the way.

LOL for shits and giggles I just checked the runoff EC on my biggest vegging plant - 4.0 ec!!!! Jesus... I told you I treat those things like crap :tiphat:

Frosty, I think your design would win in a fight because it's closer to parabolic. About the GORE thing, not sure. I ain't read that thread in ages but one thing to remember, there are several things being reflected, like light but also heat. If it's "the most reflective substance on earth" then I suspect it's reflecting a lot of heat. If it's made for in a roof or similar position, you could be sure it's gonna reflect a very high amount of heat.

My understanding is that flat white paint (just as an example) is going to reflect a good amount of light (not as much, sure) but low heat. A shiny material is going to reflect a lot of light but also a lot of heat. So I dunno, take it into account or whatever. :)

Rayray, hol'up'mayn. I think I just worked your shit out! Aren't you or weren't you very recently spraying with neem, and maybe even that other shit? Well there's your problem right there. Spraying anything in flower is generally a bad idea or last resort. I sprayed something once and the hairs pooped out in the next few days. So that's my explanation.

Ohhhh shit. I forgot all about that! DAMN SCRUBS, YOU GOT DA ANSWERS TO EVERYTHING!

Lol. I read somewhere that you can bruise the hairs, very easily. Even simply by spraying them too hard! I bet that's it! I hope it's not going to fuck everything up. I didn't know you're not supposed to spray Neem in flower, specially as early as I did it. Live and learn, I guess! I'll keep an eye on the plants and let you know what happens. I sprayed them with Serenade a while back, but they say you can spray it onto the flowers up to the day before you harvest... Might that cause some damage? Thanks homie. :D

Hey no worries man. Rep ain't no thang. I'm just glad you worked it out! It shouldn't harm the flowers per se, apart from killing the hairs and possibly inducing mould, as far as I'm aware...but I've never used neem. Anything you spray onto female marijuana flowers is bad. So that means the Serenade too. We all try to keep humidity low in flower, whereas spraying anything is making it humid, wet, and mould-prone, and da 'erb is mould prone enough as it is ;)

Thanks Benj! These are pretty easy to get here, mate - my local hydro store has them but you can also get them from an aussie store on ebay. There's 3 basic models available and if you search for the title you'll see them (I get sketchy posting ebay links, lol)

EZI PLUG 4 X 55WATT FLUORO DIMPLED ALUMINIUM SHADE - $179 (basically what I have)

EZI PLUG 2 X 55WATT FLUORO WHITE DELUXE SHADE CLONING - $89 (like the HTG Supply model)

EZI PLUG 2 X 55WATT FLUORO DIMPLED ALUMINIUM SHADE - $75 (ghetto ass reflector but it's cheapest, and probably fine)

Can build your own for cheaper too, but not everyone's into that :)

Thanks m8 your a legend......

Dang. That Leda's lookin' bomb. So is the PK man. Stoked to see the final result.

Killer macro shot, by the way. I wish I hadn't dropped my camera. The macro setting hardly works. The lens doesn't focus as it should. ):

Hey Scrub,

Great grow, and I love this cab! I was wondering if you do any type of carbon filtering at all? I checked through this thread and also the old one for this cab and didn't see anything mentioning it.

If you could help me out in my thread relating to filtering a smaller cab, I would appreciate it. :)

Thanks!

Thanks all! Too many replies, lol, but happy you all can look in. Flipz, not sure how you missed the big black box on top, but I'll try to help you out when I get back. I've got a busy day ahead, SADLY.

Hydro, cheers bro, I watch DG's thread intently and he is going to clean up! Yeah I'm sure I'll get better phenos in the other ones. I'm getting close to finding out :good:

Hang loose :dance013:

Edit filpz I've never used those fans so I cannot help you. I think you should have started by copying a cab that is like the final product you wanted to have.
