decided that today was the day.... 12 catpiss x moontang and 6 halo elite f2's got wet.
I may drop more catpiss x moontang as I've decided to gift out all females to local cats... and I'd like at least 5-6 males to choose from...

Is that the previously posted recipe just reduced down???
Trying to get a batch going for a couple reversals in the near future..

I've not broken it down, but for whatever size you'd need.. you should mix a small amount of water with your silver nitrate, a larger amount with the thiosulfate, and you mix the silver nitrate into the thiosulfate stirring rapidly and pouring slowly... you should end up with a final 6:1 ratio of thiosulfate:silver nitrate

what recipe did you come up with unreg?

Hell, looking at PF's 1st recipe...

1. 1.6 g of Sodium Thiosulfate into 100 ml RO
2. 1.7 g of Silver Nitrate into 100 ml RO
3.slowly pour 20 ml of silver nitrate stock solution into 80 ml of sodium thiosulfate stock solution to make 100ml of STS to spray on the lady's 2x everyday...
If you poured 20ml of Silver into the fill 100ml of thiosulfate the ratio would be much closer to his final recipe...
but that makes no sense... you'd have 80ml of unused silver nitrate wasted ...

so.... dividing by usage it'd be 0.34 grams of Silver nitrate

My final small batch recipe therefore is as follows.....

1. 1.6 g of Sodium Thiosulfate into 95 ml RO
2. 0.34 g of Silver Nitrate into 25 ml RO
3.slowly pour the 25 ml of silver nitrate stock solution into 95 ml of sodium thiosulfate stock solution while stirring rapidly to make 120ml of STS to spray on the lady's 2x... once at flip, again a week later

I'm completely open to thoughts or corrections.

Sea....I did

.1 gram Silver Nitrate into 6 ml RO water
.6 gram Sodium Thisosulfate into 24 ml RO water

then those went into 80 ml RO water for a total of 110 ml

Recipe Hammer uses divided by ten......original recipe ends up with 1100 ml

Here is the instructions I was given.......:tiphat:

1g Silver N mixed into 60ml RO.
6G Sodium T mixed into 240ml RO
Always Mix silver N into sodium T. Take the 60mls of Silver N mix it into the 240mls of Sodium T. Pour slowly mixing fast. If you do it wrong the mix will turn brown.
Take your 300ml mix from above pour into 800ml RO for a total of 1100ml.

Thanks Sea and unregistered..... :tiphat:
Where /what do you use for your sodium t and silver n..... Looking around on Amazon, thinking I might be able to grab some up at a local pharmacy over the counter if possible.

Gonna try and reverse a couple ladies as soon as the strawberry diesel male is all done.... which will be soon.
Thinking GG4, Khalisi #2, New York Cookie,..... maybe a Goblin God x khalisi.
Might as well stock up lol... thanks again.

yeah... they are all very close when you do the math... slight variation in the ratio of sT : Sn, but even that isnt much... I'm sure they're all valid.

Any other chile heads in here? Harvest in full swing. Thais, Sante Fe, Arbol and Cayenne this year. Gathering seeds for next year and fellow chile enthusiasts! I'll post some pictures of the plants and their fruits.

Funny you should ask......my mouth is on fire :sasmokin: as I just tried a small sliver of a Ghost Chili...I like it, haha...gonna have to have just one more small piece.

I posted in the hottest pepper thread...scored the ghost, trinidad scorpion, trinidad 7 pot chile douglah and brain strain last week....

I cut the pepper open as Sea suggested to avoid rot......trying to save seeds..but, pepper plants should go dormant and if kept in the garage should pop back up next year, right? No?

I know they do overwinter... but I dont know how they do in containers... if anything I'd insulate the roots/pots real good... I was runnin normal temps of 105 this summer with no ill effect... I accredit my large pots and insulated roots... which led me to the thought that most heat stress growers face is due to small pots and temp changes at the roots, not the plant... so... to overwinter, I'd try to insulate those roots as best as possible...

throw em down hatch.... this place is scattered for a reason... there is no intention of following any specific topic... we're here to have fun, so do as thou wilst.

Fermented Chile Paste is where it is at. Love utilizing the dried ones, but dang does the sauce make it work.
This one is Thai, Cayenne & garlic.

Time to make the hash caps again. Although I didn't have a harvest of my own. Been trimming for folks. Trading my work for bud and trim. Made bubble hash couple days ago. started the hash cap procedure today. Still following BadKat's CannaPharm Hash Cap recipe. PakalolofromPNW turned me onto the recipe.

Link to it:
https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=205263

Last batch took 10g hash (120 micron screen) and made 36 caps. My goal is to make enough for a year. 1 or 2 a day. soooooo Hatch gonna need to huff out 100+ grams of bubble. My last run used 400 g of shitty early harvest bud and yielded:
15 g 120micron
5 gram 73 micron
1 g from the 50 micron.
4% return....was hoping for 5, but like I said it was some early gnar-gnar.

The finer grade stuff I save for smoking. Used 10 g again for caps. Used the leftover 5g for some hash-butter.

Didn't dry the hash out as much as usual. so went with a longer decarboxylation step to hump out all the excess moisture.

They come out strong. Take in morning, great day all day. Take at night, like 8pm, have a silly three hours then off to sweet solid sleep.

Back to trimming. Glad I get to do it at home and not on "location". Get a bucket dropped off, work on it, get a new one when I'm done. Keep an ounce and my trim. Viva la revolution ;)
