Hey smurph, hows things on your end? clover... well, it depends... often it seems a balancing act between too much mulch smothering and too little mulch and the soil gets a bit dry... the seeds are there for 7 varieties of clover... what decides to pop up will do so... I imagine just small patches as usual... perhaps chia flowers... I did have some hydrophobic soil so I went a bit heavy on the mulch this run after a few heavy aloe waterings...

Things are moving along, need to install an extra a/c unit in my flower room, having trouble figuring out how to install it best, trying to avoid buying a unit with a ducted exhaust, because it'll be 3x more expensive than a simple window unit, but at the same time it's a basement, the windows aren't set up for an a/c unit, and venting into my ballast area will probably cause trouble in the long run. I'll probably end up shelling out for the portable, but i'm hoping a solution jumps out at me.

Been wanting to do some no till with cover clover for a long time, just can't ever seem to have the thought at the right time.

maybe you could take a window unit, sit it in your room and enclose it in a box... plywood and silicone or somethin... duct that to the basement window... might need a booster fan but probably not... thats my immediate thought anyway...

:yeahthats
good idea, box out the window unit, in the past i have set them on small tables or nite stands to suppor them, then simply cut the hole in plywood where the ac sits and rig the plywood into my existing plastic wall...

yo mt trogger i have a couple ox f2's and trogger plants from seed getting about knee high right now.... super excited for those.
bubba may just be my "calling" for breeding. i really love the bubba structure and stature (so upright and sturdy) would like to breed a lil bit more branchiness into them and keep the dense buds and kushy earthy with hints of fruit....

anyhow, i've just identified a couple males in my seed stable, one of which is a f13 f2 from mikenite (original f13 strain by DJ short)
hopefully will be able to do some seed making with this batch of males.

afaik all DJ short's lines are IBLs, so your F13's would be a further fgen, not f2's. correct me if i'm wrong! i was just having this discussion about GN laos beans so i had to chime in.

yeah... we often talk about making F2's but in reality, often cases we are making F7's after the original cat took it to f6

yhea, you are totally right, heady blunts
I'm just saying that someone got the f13 seeds, then crossed them to each other (male on female of course) and those are the seeds I recieved. (thanks Mike!)

If i recieved seeds straight from DJ... i would consider them a true breeding line and for my own personal reference would call them f1's for my own reference (unless otherwise noted, like the ssh f4's from dynasty). similarly i'll refer to these f13's as f2's because i know that someone got the DJ gear and made another generation using the first. I do have a f13 or 2 showing female, so could potentially make the "next" (I will call it f3 for my own references, but i guess the point you are making is that i could just call every generation IBL).
thanks for pointing that out :D

i've wondered in the past if the "f13" is refering to the generation or the fighter jet.

Right on miles ! I have grown dj f13 before, actually the first breeder pack of seeds I ever bought along with the ox . I did not have great luck with her, despite my excitement to grow her. My first "Chuck was crossing a male f13 to my very special flo mom" ( coach's cut from fort Collins). I called it flirtini. Most of the pollen was sterile , I only got a few beans and I grew em out. BUT.... My boy that passed me the flo cut , got a cut of my male f13 and also crossed to the same flo and got a few beans back to me. He also used that f13 male on a strawberry cough and also passes me a dozen of those beans . both are still in my seed library awaiting there day.

My buddy is growing several of my crosses from seed . I got to see em all last week , about ready to come down. Hands down the trigger back Cross to the flo was the best looking. Huge arm size colas , dark purple leaves , more density than flo, but retaining that flo aroma. If you got em use em !

i'd want to call those P1, although i guess that's not really accurate if you're doing an in-cross...

yeah i guess IBL or i saw the term "Fgen" and thought that was good. anyway, not trying to nitpick! just want to keep it all straight in my head.

i wondered that same thing when i wrote the last post!

A little advice needed from you guys, I have a sour dubble x watermelon kush I really want to knock up by a pre 98 bubba x white lotus male but she only has four weeks left to go should I wait till the next run to make the seeds or is there still enough time? Ive never knocked up anything this far along.

You'll end with a bunch of immature seeds, few good ones if you chop on a set date.
If the plant is dedicated to seed, then breed it and just give the extra couple of weeks to ripen seed.

I agree with sg, I have pollinated quite late , at least a couple of times the gals were at 40 days of 12/12. I just nursed em a few extra weeks til I was sure those beans were really mature.
