The canna cuff links impression is a nice touch.

Also, Terp, try an oatmeal choco chip cookie. The oatmeal acts as a time release and gives you a longer intoxication.

I wanna know more!

We hand it out every year for xmas (without cannabis). One year we added a batch of butter for a few fellow patients as xmas presents. The problem is that her toffee is dangerously addictive and everyone that gets a batch finishes it 1-2 hours after receiving it. As you might imagine, that means that you can quickly work yourself into a situation where you're out of your goddamn mind. :laughing: To solve that, I've thought about making a 2 or even 4 batches with a single stick of cannabutter to make the dosing more sane.

Terps Toffee
1.5 cups sugar
4.5 tbsp water
1.5 cups butter (use .25-.5 sticks of cannabutter, regular butter for rest)
8 Hershey bars
3oz finely chopped almonds
2.5oz semisweet chocolate

Line 15" x 9.5" pan with foil extending over the sides. Toast almonds until brown then remove 1/2 of the almonds from pan. Cover the almonds with grated chocolate.

In heavy pot, cook sugar, water and butter to 310 degrees (hard cracked) while stirring constantly to prevent burning. Pour over grated chocolate. Cover with Hershey bars. Allow to melt, then chocolate out spread with rubber spatula. Cover with remaining almonds. Press into chocolate. Let cool and then break into chunks.

(Its important to mention that stirring constantly and a good candy thermometer are a must for this recipe so nothing burns - which is remarkably easy to do with butter and sugar!)

I apologize in advance for what this does to everyone's waistlines / teeth / sense of self control.

Let me talk to the missus and see if I can't get her to make a batch for everyone to nibble on. I can't make her toffee, it's smells too sweet for me. (I'm the guy who has to wait outside See's Candy because the aroma inside makes my stomach turn.)

I like this recipe for toffee, obviously its cut and paste from elsewhere on the great wide web...

I use 10g of concentrate such as shatter per pound of butter, because...sleep is nice.

Mise en place:

1 Heavy sauce pan
1 Candy thermometer
1 Wooden spoon
1 Half sheet pan buttered or a half sheet pan lined with wax paper and sprayed with non-stick spray
1 Offset spatula
1 Bowl of water
1 Sponge or cloth
1 pound granulated sugar
1 pound or 4 sticks unsalted Vanilla Kush cannabutter (14 grams infused into the butter)
3 oz water
3 oz corn syrup
½ cup Semi-sweet chocolate melted in a double boiler for decoration if desired
½ cup Crushed nuts for decoration if desired
Candy wrappers and paper if recipe is going to be made into a gift

Directions:

Step 1 – Place the sugar, cannabutter, water and corn syrup in a heavy saucepan. Cook at low to medium low heat and stir the ingredients until fully combined. After all of the ingredients come together continue to stir constantly to keep the sides of the pan from forming sugar crystals. If sugar crystals begin to materialize on the sides of the pan, use a damp sponge or cloth to clean the sides with one hand while you stir with the other. Sugar crystals will look white resembling ice crystals on a window in the winter.

Step 2 – In this process expect foam to froth up when the mixture reaches a full boil, but do not be alarmed at the rising level. The foam up will begin to subside and when it does stop stirring and attach the candy thermometer to the pan. Do not allow it to touch the bottom of the pan. The mixture will begin to go from a lighter color to more browning caramel tones at 250 degrees. During this time both the color and temperature will quickly increase inside the pot. With steady pressure scrape the bottom of the pan only once with a wooden spoon.

Step 3 – Once the mixture reaches 285 degrees inside the pot, take the pan off the heat and stir it for a very short interval. Pour the mixture immediately on the half sheet pan and spread it out evenly with an offset spatula.

Step 4 – Let it set for a minute and score the cannabis infused English toffee while it is still hot with a buttered knife.

Step 5 – Let it cool and then break the pieces along the score lines.

Step 6 – Drizzle some chocolate over the top and then place it in the fridge to cool for 30 minutes.

Step 7 – Enjoy responsibly!

Dosage:

If one gram of cannabis tests at 20 percent THC, twenty percent of 1,000 mg would be 200mg. So if you added 14 grams worth of cannabis into the total recipe at 20 percent THC, it would contain 2800 mg total. Therefore, if you scored the toffee into 100 pieces each serving would be 28 mg. Sub the number of your THC percentage and do the math to figure out your dosing. If you want a smaller dose, cut the cannabis down to a smaller portion or score the candy into smaller pieces.

Strain Suggestions:

I would recommend strains that possess candy, sweet, or vanilla like terpenes. The following would be ideal if you didn’t have Vanilla Kush: Ice Cream, Vanilla OG, Vanilla Cookies, or Vanilla Haze. If you cannot find these strains don’t panic, just follow your nose and taste buds to finds strains that would complement the dish.

about a week ago I saw a post on IG from someone saying that they were gonna release a bunch of clones through karmanursery.ca. I thought it was karmaG. I pm'd him about it but it wasn't him.

I was able to remember "purple urkle ( 17 years old cut )". I searched google with that and got 2 hits. These are the 2 hits from google. It seems there were more than one post as they are slightly different. Below are the parts of the posts.

Kaya had the nuggiest buds, the best bag appeal pf the four strains but I didn't get a lot of weight from her.

The biggest weight came from the two Adubbs. I got a total of 210g, although it was not picturesque, a bit airy and foxtailed.

I learned a lot and had a great time running around like a headless chicken most evenings. Thanks to everyone who came around from time to time and who gave input, ideas, criticisms, and laughed discretely at my attempts at humor.

My next round is in the tent and got flipped tonight.

Hope to meet some of you this weekend and say hi again to those I met in Feb.

Honduras x Alien Orangeade (AOCADE) vegging outdoors in a 10 gallon SIP is very much showing the Honduran influence in its skinny 11 bladed leaves. Smells are strong from a distance - a more fermented lemons (Honduras) version of AOCADE's orange/tangerine-citric alien dawg ether.

The runty pheno of Zamaldelica x Ethiopians at 14.5 weeks is within a day or two of finishing. The other two plants have been chopped and are developing really different smells in jars. The ethiopian pheno is lemon-mango-cream pie and the tall, spindly zamaldelca pheno is sandalwood-incense similar to terroriffic Zamaldelicas from past grows.

At 8.5 weeks in, the lavender pheno of Mauritius x Ethiopian continues to stack next to the hoppy pheno which is about 2.5 weeks in. Just like its sister, the hoppy pheno is a monster stretcher in flower!

Terp - Man, that Zamaldelica x Ethiopians looks amazing! I cant wait to read a smoke report on that one. I dont know what it is, but both of your Ethiopian strains have me drooling with envy!

Turns out my over zealous manual pollination of the Zamaldelica x Ethiopians lead to quite a few more F2 beans than I am used to (read: several hundred). They will be freely gifted back to the community as will my AOCADE F2s and Honduras x AOCADE F1s - all of which I accidentally made far too many of.

The two Zamaldelica x Ethiopians (I am waiting for Monday before chopping the last one) smoke very much toward the side they lean. Both plants are positive, clear, energetic, semi trippy and generally less cold than original Zamaldelica - especially the scary thai-zamal phenos.
The ethiopian leaning plant is clearer, more energetic, more productive, more positive (similar to Honduras with more energy), and has a better taste and smell than the Zamaldelica leaning pheno - lemons rotting in the hot sun / mango / cream, almost like a lemon-mango-cream-pie if that makes any sense.
The Zamaldelica (and somewhat Malawi-ish) plant is more bitter, astringent, traditional haze smelling - incense / sandalwood / rotting wood / gear oil with faint hints of mango-carrot, more electric but less energetic, its also trippier and more eye opening than the ethiopian. In general, the Ethiopian influence mellows out the intensity of the psychedelica a bit in exchange for energetic positivity and a general feeling of well being.
